this is a phone that works well in any country - these are the basics that makes it good. i have seen no flaws with this phone. all this bluetooth, etc. i do not need this. just a phone with good color and good reception. this is true in the v300.

I got a lot to share. But then again, this Phone can sure have a lot to say also!!!

Well congratulations on all you daring gizmo-addicted afficionado's who've jumped the tsunami of lemmings and made yourselves the unproclaimed guinea pigs of the Motorola Giant corporations. I found some shrewd associates of a company up here who managed to finangle me a v300 for 100 bucks....that's 100 bucks cheaper than anyother dufus in Canada heheheh., was pleased with myself.

I must say I'm in Ottawa, Canada., and only Jan 24 was when the v300 was released...so those of you with the disgusting fortune of having had the v600 out allready I bow my heads....although at this point in time I only have one thing to say....with a limited budget, and a family who can afford an extra 150 bucks for that damn Jabra bluetooth headset!!!! WHOA!!!

I've the data cable and so far this is what I've managed to do.

get Mobile Phone Tools to work (after 2 days the auto updater kicked in, and it updated the version, when I restarted it bombed...so I uninstalled and reinstalled....whenever the updater...I think Live kicks in I cancel and I'm okay) can transfer pictures to and from honeydip (my V300's personal name). I've managed to copy my outlook contacts phone book, but it's not a failsafe method....for some reason if I send a lot (I have about 300) names so split that up into home numbers/mobiles/emails (as you all no doubt know V*** stores each of those separately it kinda adds up...ANYWAY, it'll cycle and almost finish [applying changes] but it'll say error....I figure out that I can just disregard that notice., click [read phone] and click [no] don't save changes before., and it'll actually have succeeded in applying the changes....weird.

That process isn't perfect....I've noticed VERY few anomales (sp) in my contacts file....some of my names get bounced around....I'll have one person's name with another person's email address..this has happened to

I just want to know how good the reception is with this phone. I was interested in getting one, but after the last terrible phone I bought that never had any signal, I just was curious as to how the reception quality is on the phone?

This is an excellent phone for the money. Low cost, great RF signal, and features, including speakerphone. Battery life is good. Also, I think the screen is as good as they get. Overall, top notch and I recommend this over many other phones.

Definitely Moto V300 is much better than that sharp. Only two things to say that make moto a better choice: its camera is a vga one and no a QCIF 352 x 288 (worse quality). And it weighs more than moto

I must tell u that i´ve been waiting for this phone for about 3 months and it was worth it. It really was!!!
It is extraordinarly well built, very solid, with the right size and weight.
The color display along with the VGA Camera are amazing (better than those from all the Nokias i know - 6600 included - SE and Siemens).
The User Interface (one of my fears as i was told that Motorolas were far from being friendly) is trully fun and simple.
Beyond all that i´ve been tell u, it has all the qualities a phone must have: excellent reception and the voices sound loud and clear.
As far as the negative points are concerned, i must tell u that the phone lacks Bluetooth and infrared port.
It´s an excellent value-for-money phone (i payed EUR 260 here in Portugal). I trully recommend it!!!

PS: No bugs have been detected so far!!! Excellent!!!

I don't know exactly how many sms this phone can store, but mine has already 100 and hasn't yet reached its limit. I was told that V525 is capable of storing at least 300. As they have similar software, i guess V300 works basically the same way.

I think the v300 is the hottest phone out on the market right now. It took me a few weeks to get my hands on it because it was sold out everywhere I went. But now that I have it I can't stop putting it down. The features and graphics on this phone are awesome and the sound quality is great. I'm amazed by the functions this phone has to offer. The only thing I don't like is the battery life which seems to die faster than other brand name phones I have used.
