I must tell u that i´ve been waiting for this phone for about 3 months and it was worth it. It really was!!!
It is extraordinarly well built, very solid, with the right size and weight.
The color display along with the VGA Camera are amazing (better than those from all the Nokias i know - 6600 included - SE and Siemens).
The User Interface (one of my fears as i was told that Motorolas were far from being friendly) is trully fun and simple.
Beyond all that i´ve been tell u, it has all the qualities a phone must have: excellent reception and the voices sound loud and clear.
As far as the negative points are concerned, i must tell u that the phone lacks Bluetooth and infrared port.
It´s an excellent value-for-money phone (i payed EUR 260 here in Portugal). I trully recommend it!!!
PS: No bugs have been detected so far!!! Excellent!!!

I got a lot to share. But then again, this Phone can sure have a lot to say also!!!
Well congratulations on all you daring gizmo-addicted afficionado's who've jumped the tsunami of lemmings and made yourselves the unproclaimed guinea pigs of the Motorola Giant corporations. I found some shrewd associates of a company up here who managed to finangle me a v300 for 100 bucks....that's 100 bucks cheaper than anyother dufus in Canada heheheh., was pleased with myself.
I must say I'm in Ottawa, Canada., and only Jan 24 was when the v300 was released...so those of you with the disgusting fortune of having had the v600 out allready I bow my heads....although at this point in time I only have one thing to say....with a limited budget, and a family who can afford an extra 150 bucks for that damn Jabra bluetooth headset!!!! WHOA!!!
BACK TO BASICS
I've the data cable and so far this is what I've managed to do.
get Mobile Phone Tools to work (after 2 days the auto updater kicked in, and it updated the version, when I restarted it bombed...so I uninstalled and reinstalled....whenever the updater...I think Live kicks in I cancel and I'm okay) can transfer pictures to and from honeydip (my V300's personal name). I've managed to copy my outlook contacts phone book, but it's not a failsafe method....for some reason if I send a lot (I have about 300) names so split that up into home numbers/mobiles/emails (as you all no doubt know V*** stores each of those separately it kinda adds up...ANYWAY, it'll cycle and almost finish [applying changes] but it'll say error....I figure out that I can just disregard that notice., click [read phone] and click [no] don't save changes before., and it'll actually have succeeded in applying the changes....weird.
That process isn't perfect....I've noticed VERY few anomales (sp) in my contacts file....some of my names get bounced around....I'll have one person's name with another person's email address..this has happened to

During a week end spent in London I bought a V300 motorola. But it seems it is not possible to unlock it in France Because a special code number is not available. Do you know where I can find this key code to unlock this mobile. Thank you if you can help me. Thank you also otherwise. Philippe

I finally got the v300 mobile :) after waiting 2 week. Well it really look cool, nice design and is FREE with t-mobile contract.
The Monitor is awesome brilliant colours and the sound as well is amazing.
The Game Monopoly is fun and you`ll spend hours playing it....
The only problem the manual is really useless.. so i had to guess everything...
About the camera: is my first mobile with camera so i can`t compare or judge...but has a useful zoom and pics come out neat and clear.
I`m totally happy about mychoice :)

Few clarifications:
- All Motorola phones have Caller ID!
- The phone is free with T-Mobile contract.
- Camera is top notch quality and identical to V500 and V600. V600 was recently voted one of the best cameras in it's class! Yes, it's better than most digital camers (1 Mpixels or less). And it has 4x zoom.
- MP3 is available as an accessory. E398 will be the first to have mp3 player build in.
- If a battery dies after just few hours, get a new battery, charger or if it doesn't help a new phone! But first recharge the battery overnight and try again.
- V300 (or any other phone, Motorola or not) was tested with SMS, MMS, email, camera, java etc for weeks if not months. It doesn't guarantee that every one of them works 100% and will never break. I know people who had their Samsungs reprogrammed many times just to be able to use basic calling functionality. Newer models just coming out are more likely to have quality issues as production ramps up. Samsung, Nokia or Sony also break!
- Mobile Phone Tools ($59.99 at www.hellomoto.com) gives you all kind of features including downloading ringtones, mp3, pictures, video, email, MMS, SMS, internet access all for a PC.

This phone was absolute junk for us. After numerous complaints to tmobile, we are finally getting samsung replacements. Text messages would take days to go through, pictures wouldn't send in the text message or when you sent the picture it would show up distorted like something out of a horror movie, email didn't work all that great and the picture quality sucks, phone freezes up and shuts down for no reason like a computer with a virus. i will never own another motorolla again. we are getting samsung phones to replace these and hope that we will be much happier.
