I have this phone, I also thought I needed some software but it does not require any software provided you have a PC running either Win2k or WinXP with all your service patches. Everything is direct to USB 2.0 support, your data, pictures, mp3’s are stored onto the mini-micro SD memory card which I upgraded to 1Gb. I have even figured out how to use my own photo’s as wallpapers.
What ever pictures you use, they have to be resized to 176 x 220 and saved in a "gif" file format on your PC first and then they can be copied into your cell's memory card. I am buying 2 more of these for my family members. Motorola out did themselves on this one.

Beth-Ann: transfering stuff from pc to phone memorycard is very simple,it doesnt need any drivers or dedicated software. In the phone there is a setting in: Settings->Connectivity->USB Settings->Default Connection. Here you set it to Memory Card. Now connect the phone to PC,it will be installed automatically because its Plug & Play.A "Removable Device" will show up in My Computer, thatz the phones memory card.Good Luck!

I have this phone for quite a long time now,so I can answer some question posted here:Firstly you can NOT assign multimedia tracks from the memorycard as ringtones (sadly) and secondly YES a normal mini USB cable does work, thatz one of the reasons why i baught this phone. As of my opinion, the phone is pretty cool, except for the handling, the software works very very slowsly.Cheers

Ok, I just got this phone and its not all that bad, gotta get me a memory card though. had to delete every original tone pic and games in da phone to get a lil more memory, I've putted on 5 mp3's and I only have 1068 kb free memory left, graphics aint all that bad either but you know motorola's issue with da VGA camera. MP3 quality is good too. I give this phone a 7, its good if your more of a music than video lover. (PHONE KINDA BIG THOUGH lol) If u buying this, buy a memory card too. you'll need it

For the people whos having troubble trans flash cards. When buying a new trans flash card, they need to be formated first before use otherwize the phone might not calculate the memory corect.

Now I know that really experience count.my formallean on moto is a good choice.I first used C115,stolen and now V360. Surely Moto is a role medel that leads while others follow.Enen pricing Moto is friendly. My only only opinion is that you sould let your product that are bought directly from distributor purcess all accessery that features in the product to stand out.E.g Bluetooth accessery for factory performance even if it will add little to the price and you will be known for it.
                                    Thanks.
