i just bought a v3x phone.so far so good. but i want to ask you if you know how to upgrade this phone or something. how do i use java application and how do i download stuff? i am in the philippines and globe or smart doesn't provide any services for v3x. also do you know any site where i can get themes? all i want is to maximize the features of v3x. also i dont think i see any software disc with my box. where do i get it? by the way, i am loving this phone. thank you.

the v3x does come in pink, but I've only seen it in Australia in pink so far. it's the same pink as the v3's.

mine is blue and awesome. Best phone yet. I went from a nokia 6101 to this and it RULES.

          so there.

Just got my new Motorola Razr V3x. So far so good. However, I am wondering if there is a way of entering 'contacts' in the phone book in a numerical order I choose, or even an alpha order. So far - each time I enter a new contact name, the phone seems to decide where IT want to put it.
i.e., Contacts that I least use and entering last, are ending up at the FRONT of the list. Maybe I have missed something in the instructions? HELP !

To Bombay: V3x camera, display and UI are much more better than v3i. At the same time v3x has somewhat "softer" construction due to its plastic casing. V3i is very stylish, it has a metalic construction and better external display. Both phones are very quick and responsive. Each of them is equipped with a very good MP3 player.Trust me on all this, cause I have both models. I'll give v3i an 8 out of 10, and v3x 9/10. PS. Of course some functions are network dependant.

V3i is more stylish and came back to the essence of razr hymn v3x just if you want 3G because the camera is poor and the finition of the phone is PLASTIC....beurkkkk

Look at it this way mate... if u want something just slightly better than the regular v3 then do the v3i... if u want something miles ahead... video calling... massive storage space... 2.0Mp camera and loads more... dude it's the v3x. Also u'd probably be getting a set already with a software upgrade so possibly no phone bugs and any other glitches the first released handsets had. I've upgraded mine and no more software bugs... dont let the lame azz moan doggs fool u... the phone is bangin!

what people are forgetting is its 3G. thats why its a bit thicker. I have a V3X and its brill. My only niggles are the buttons on the side they are flimsy and feel broke. MP3 player part is crap i had D600 and E720 from samsung and they are soo cool for MP3.

Anyway i look forward to the next motorola V??? model.

question:"can it be used on an gsm850 network? thanks"

answer: no, because this phone is a triband and has 900, 1800 and 1900 frequencies.

if cingular uses two frequecies, such as the 1900, you can use the phone. signal will be at about 90%.

WARNING WITH A PHONEBOOK SOFTWARE BUG !!!!

A lot of units have been released with a bug in the software: some entries in the phonebook are saved "buggy" (it seems to be a problem with the date of birth, even if you don't entry any date) so after saved this phonebook entries are impossible to edit or view or send by bluetooth or used with voice dialing: the V3x goes to main screen in these cases. Workaround is delete these entries. Definitive solution is ONLY a sofware upgrade.
