hi guys. please help..
im helping a friend change the date of his v3x which is bought just now. how do we change the date? we already went to tools and datebook but it doesn't have a date change function. manual doesn't help at all since it has a foreign language. please help. thanks in advance..

My V3x phone has preinstalled software from the service provider PLANET 3 ( australia probably), which change the menu system from genuine motorola and gprs & 3g according to PLANET 3. How can i get rid of this firmware upgrade & get a basic operating system that usually comes directly from motorola. pls reply

The Battery is'nt Slightly Loose, it feels as if is going to come off, And the Sim card I am Using is Vodafone And they are Quiet THick. I think the Phone is using a beta version of Software.

This fone is great.aplications, transfers, software is a kid's game.
infortunately, the battery sux n the speaker is too loud. Pics so-so but acceptable, video like the others brands, really poor.
The design is very good, it feels like this device causes so much atracttion! join us and enjoy it.

Well I've had mine for 6 months and no problems so far.
And I doubt it will change in a month.
I have heard of the sporadic restart problem before but mostly it is because some sim cards are a micrometer thinner than others and sometimes it is as result of a slightly loose BC60 batt, the BC70 is thicker thus it doesn't have this problem.
But both these problems can be fixed by a piece of paper.
I love this phone!!!

Had this phone now for 7 months now, on Contract, a total disaster, the phone crashes unexpectedly, there is a loud click on the speaker when playing sounds, the phone has a creaking noise when you hold it, ive sold it now, and got my self a Samsung D600, miles better.

Yo whaddup ya'll... this is Aramyn. I just got the V3x.... the phone is off the chain!! I love it! From the screen to the sound, to the features and the camera... it's wonderful. I love the messaging engine, that is very intuitive... it actually chooses what type of message you are gonna send. I love the lil LED light when charging and an incoming call approaches. This phone is wonderful.
The ONLY problem I have with this phone is the instant messenger. I know in the manual it says that some of the features are optional, but I really was lookin forward to the IM client. Question: is there anyway to get the messenger client installed on the phone or is it already on the phone, but hidden? 3gp & mp4, transfer via MPT, P2k commander or set connection to mem card and just copy & paste.
All in the pesonalization guide...
NOT INCLUDED WITH THE PHONE!

Dis fone is grate but when will moto wake up to demselves and make a V3y. U kno it would kill it!!!

the reminders function is ok for me since it is able to turn off and on i feel it's a cool feature. as sometimes in loud n noisy environment i may miss a call/text and this reminder helps notify me...
battery is definitely a weak point even with bluetooth turn off, my talk time is at most 2hrs only on loud speaker....just 1 call only already i need to recharge the phone....this is really bad....i did turn off bluetooth in the connection menu power=off.

girl it doesnt have anything to do with v3x being a 3g phone. you can send mms to any handyphone model/unit as long as it is also mms/gprs capable. if you cannot send mms try to check your balance if it is sufficient, check your settings.. better yet, try to coordinate with your network provider.

Ok, I am looking to purchase this phone. Having bad experiences with my previouse LG handset I anted tp know if the Motorola V3x had any major problems, like needing of cnstant repairs, crappy sound not little things such as not very good vidioe recording. Please give me feeback, I dont want to make another mistake and purchase the wrong phone. Also, is this the type of hpone that I would get bord of after a few mnths? Is it up to 2006 standards? I know i sound like and idiot, but I realy want to make the right desicion in buying the correct phone for me.

I received the phone last week. I am quite dissapointed regarding the handset. The phone refused to get recharged in the first days. I have tried switching to all of the plugs in my house to recharge it. it wasn't because of the plugs, but because of the recharger or the battery. The bluetooth can't be activated. the phone can receive products from other handsets but it can't send any. I am sure that the phone has a lot more shortcomings but I dread to discover them all. I might think of selling it as soon as possible:)
