@ Coolbud: Yes, there is a earphone slot. But this earphone slot does not accomodate normal 2.5 mm plugs.

It accomodates USB headphones which are provided when you buy the phone.

This is a request for help from anyone UK BASED ONLY, who has a v3x with o2 software preinstalled on the phone when they got it. I'd very much like to kmow how to remove it as i think o2 have done something to stop it being used on vodafone live(internet?). It still works with my Vodafone sim card, but when i access vodafone live i get a short page with " My menu" and about 6 other options on it, which take it absolutely nowhere. I'm quite impressed with the phone, and if it helps anyone, heres a tip to stop the back cover squeaking as its made from very cheap nasty flexible painted plastic. fold up a piece of paper and stuff it between the battery and the inside of the admittedly flimsy plastic cover, then slide the cover shut. you now have a phone which will not squeak and sound like a creaky mattress when you try to text on it or even shock horror when you use it as a normal phone... If anyone can help me then please mail me at: markdarke@hotmail.com

I'm at my wits end as to how to get this working. Vodafone keep sending me settings and none of them so far have worked, plus there is a tendency for Vodafone staff to realise i didnt buy it from them, and then refuse to help much after that.

Just a couple of things i want to clear up regarding the review of the V3X that is posted here.

No headphone port: Actually, there is a headphone port for both the MP3 player and handsfree. You are provided with a stereo headset when you buy the phone, that fits into the phones USB slot. You can also purchase bluetooth head phones.

Average MP3 Player: Actually, i own an ipod nano and my friend has an ipod video. The sound quality rivals the ipod's or is better. Surely not average!

No Backlit screen: I dont know if the reviewer was blind or not but both the external and internal screen are backlit.

                Just some added extra's.

The Camera is the best ive used on a phone. It provides superb quality! And the flash is super bright!

Bulky!? I think not. Sure the V3 is thinner, but of course it is! It doesnt have as many features and the battery life on the V3 is far worse than the V3X.

Battery Life: Ive been using my V3X for phonecalls, SMS's, MMS's, The camera with flash and huge amounts of MP3 listening. The battery lasted me four days. Just one note, when you first get the phone you must charge the battery for eight hours, this means completely ignoring the "Charge Complete" sign. This is called conditioning the battery so it holds maximum charge.

I cant comment on the Video phone because i dont know anyone else with video phone capabilities but if its anything as good as normal picture taking it will be awesome!

If you want to buy this phone, go for it, you wont be dissappointed!! :)

buying a phone in greenhills is cheap, very cheap but ur not sure if its brand new or second hand coz i sold my phone there once and they said they can still sell it as BN meaning brand new... so its not safe and you don't know whether ur phone buying is a "GRAY UNIT" meaning ur MMS won't be activated, you'll just know when you go to GLOBE or SMART telling you, you bought a "GRAY UNIT". so its much better to buy a phone from a acellphone store from a mall like Wellcom, Semicon, etc...

kt, how much is the v3x in greenhills?
regarding your MMS, call Globe to activate the MMS, maybe it needs to reactivate.

To shibb:The V3X has a earphone slot and the earphones are provided(market dependent)However you can't plug in normal earphones(those for cd and mp3players)The MP3 quality is above average. It's got bass boost too!It also has a music player which looks suspicously like i-tunes.

TO wjpe:V3x is realone capable. You're looking at another problem.

                      To wgxR:The phone can play 3gp content,MP4..
hellomoto.com says it plays realmedia and windows media files but when i tried to play them the phone told me they were corrupt or file type unrecongized. The problem is that motorola phones can play many VIDEO formats but the AUDIO format in a video is limited.

TO mgeY:Dude use the cable they gave you.You have to install mobile phone tools too...

V3x is the best, cheapest non os mobile phone out there!Although motorola could have improved the menu.

i luv this phone! i was a hardcore nokia user before but now i can't ever imagine exchanging my v3x for anything. what i love are the clarity of the phone's resolution and th 2 megapixel camera. i bought it in greenhills 3 weeks ago and fell in love with it. cheapest pa rin sa greenhills comapred to anywhere else. one question: i can't seem to have my mms working though. i went to a globe center and they did their tweaking but i still can't send via mms. what's up? help! tnx

Its thin its good looking but is it able to jump tall buildings in a single bound.....actually no! This mobile phone isnt superman its mighty mouse. The battery life barely lasts a day, the camera falls short in comparison to nokia/Sony - but it looks good. The menu system sucks. My concern is consumers wil see me as a yuppy using a phone like this as it looks good but has no other usefull appealing function compared to other manufacturers.

                              to another anonymous user:
V3X have realone embedded on its system and media player but the codec being used in streaming here in the Philippines is different from othe countries, thats why it wont work.

U should buy dis fone coz the design is cool, i think the V3x blue is cooler than the LG P7200 black, it's 3G.
