TO PREVIOUS POSTING:
Ok, it will be tough to argue with ignorance.
However, I hope that this junk phone will cost no more thana a $100 retail.
Well, it better not to be, otherwise I'll write a letter to Motorola to tell them what a bunch of morons they are!

Motorola is hopeless, everytime I see a new product it seems to have stooped to an even lower level.
Can it get any worse than this? Most low-end phones these days are dirt cheap, with a camera to boot. So how much are retailers expecting for this phone, 5 bucks?
I'd go with either Nokia or Samsung phones, they're leading the market at the moment. Sony Ericsson is even getting to be pretty good. But Motorola has hit rock bottom - how disgraceful.

I have this for testing. It's quite plastic but much more handy than any huge razr (v3). Something nice from Motorola.

This is a cool looking phone (razr?). But for motorola, this is an embaressment. For the company that lead the way in bluetooth technology, and I think, has some of the better phone in the US, ths is not at all what motorola is known for. Then again it does look a lot like the razr. coincidence? maybe. anyway. I will wait until there is a more advanced version or I'll just get the razr.

Oh PLEASE...
stop the "government/work" crap. Everywhere there is a computer you are allowed to have a cell-phone. The internet is better for spying and transmitting sensitive information than any cell can ever be. Unless you work for the FBI or some other rather sensitive division this is way over-exagerated.
This phone isn't meant for work. It's too childish. It looks like a toy with it's plastic feel and huge colorful icons on the front. I wouldn't want to be seen with it in business. Buy a NOKIA for business, that'll be the most well received phone in todays market.

There is a whole market out here for folks who can't have phones that take pictures or videos. Many federal government places and many manufacturing companies do nopt allow cell phones. I work at for company that has 150,000 employees and several thousand on-site contractors world-wide. Guess what? No cell phones without cameras aloud. The market is huge and we need quality cell phones without cameras. I think this will be a hit?
Now, will someone please tell whether Cingular will carry and when I can get it?

actually i don't think this phone is a bad idea. it won't sell like moto v3i other high-tech models, but there ARE people who would go for that one instead of others.personally i would have bought this one instead of my v3 if it came out a couple of months earlier. it looks stylish and it is a phone, personally thats enough for me.

i dont think these phones are a very good idea. i work at a mobile phone shop, and although some people do not want all these features, most will at least want a camera, or bluetooth. i think motorola is moving backwards, not forward. maybe they should look at creating an affordable phone with certain features that most people want. and with the array of software problems that a lot of motorolas are known to have, you may as well buy a cheap prepaid. i have also found that some menus that the motorolas have aren't as easy to navigate compared to brands such as nokia and sharp. i can't see these phones doing too well.

DULL DULL DULL I currently have the V3 and am holding off upgrading in the hope of the 2Meg camera and better contacts and calendar. MP3's take it or leave it but the storage facility would be great. What a Let down with the W220!!!

At last someone has woken up and designed phone without all the crap on phones now. I have 4-5 phones laying around that I have updated from, all with cameras, MP3 etc. What a waste I use my iPod for music and I use a Canon T 30 for photos, both small both unobtrusive and take anywhere.
I have a V3i as one of my phones and I'm happy with it, never used the MP3 or the camera. I use a phone as a phone except for my O2 which I use as a PDA and travelling number.
This will be my choice for my 2nd and 3rd numbers.
