I have been used to using expensive phones most of my life. I lost my job some time ago and wanted to go onto pay as you go instead of contract. I purchased this phone and I am not really too happy with it and I am getting another one for Christmas. I like to send lots of texts to friends at weekends and when I try and send the same text to more than so many people, it will not let me. I have found the sound quality very dissappointing and the battery life is awful. I have lots of free minutes and after about 1 hr of talking, the battery gets low then cuts me off. It is quite easy to use and easy to navigate the texting. The ringtones are very basic. Not sure if it is the network I use or the phone, but it has awful reception in my house and my girlfriends is great but she is on a different network. The camera quality is very poor so I don't use it. No Video. I think all this is because I have been using expensive phones in the past and had to downgrade because of circumstances so I noticed a big difference in the phone. For £29 who can moan, you can make a call, send a text and do the basic stuff, but I found the quality a bit lacking. Can't wait to get my new phone for Christmas. Oh and you can't see who is calling you from the front of the phone when it rings, you have to flip it open to see which is pretty annoying. Oh and I don't think you can add a new word to the predictive texts database and have to type each letter individually for words the phone does not recognise. I have also found that it is easy to log onto the internet by mistake when your pressing the ok button which is really annoying.

I have had the W376G for a couple of days.
I downloaded a user PDF information guide from Motorola. It lists both models, the W377 and W367G, in the document, with references for both. So, I assume that the W376G was a custom version of the W377 for use by TracFone company.
While I like the phone and the bluetooth headset works well, I find the range of the phone (max distance from tower) to be considerably shorter than my older Motorola V176 (Also from TracFome). This is annoying as my place of residence is right on the fringe of the reception area. My older V176 worked well once I realized I could disable the 1900MHz band and use only the 850MHz band. Seems the lower frequency gave the phone that extra little push it needed.
I do not seem to be able to do that with the newer W376G(W377). Still I don't generally use the phone at home and the bluetooth is great.
Note( while bluetooth is supported, voice-activated-calling is not. You still have to dial. Not a big deal with the quick dial buttons programmed up.)
It also does not seem to be recognized by Motorola Phone Tools Software, although, I do have an older version (4.5.6a)

My w377 keeps showing low battery shortly after being charged....eg. I charge it before I go to work and it said charge complete by the time I am ready to leave work it keep telling me low battery....
any assistance please...

I just bought the w377 and for the simple use i need its great. My only problem is that some people are sending me sms and getting a report saying I received it , but I havent! Any ideas why this might be happening?

MaC, 31 Aug 2008Do anybody knows how to turn the bluetooth on? I searched i... moreI've got this phone so I'm just having a look for you now. Let's see... Go to the main menu and click on 'Settings' (Rench and Screwdriver icon), then go to the very botton 'til you find 'Bluetooth Link'. Press select and click 'Setup'. You'll see a list of two options, click the top one, the scroll to 'On'. That's it powered on, but with the Motorolas if you're doing OBEX file transfers and stuff then you need to make yourself visible aswell. To do this, go back to the 'Bluetooth Link' menu and click on 'Find me'. Then you'll receive a confirmation saying, 'Discoverable: 3 minutes'. Now you have Blue Tooth on and you're visible (for 3 minutes, of course).
