I have this Motorola W388, there's this warning that says "DB Corrupt! Re-create DB", and i can't open sms and also music files. what does this mean? Can somebody help me how to do this?

This phone is very ok in terms of entertainment but when making calls i can't here until i either use the speaker on or the headsets this is really bad.

Good for music... mp3... but its too bad for creating sms and has no bluetooth function for sharing of pics, musics, etc.
It has a good battery life and its really cheap.. cheap enough for its low-quality features

I am an owner an one moto' w 388. What can I do tell from this device???In first sight it is a chep phone , but he have more features.He have on 910 mA/h battery, vhich under high use -make photo, listenig the radio, writing more sms-resist up to 2 days/charge.In the stand by mode he can resist up to the 4-5 days.In spite of the same that I have this phone , dont' like w 388. It si a good phone , but the brand is not have a face set against the concurence.

Waleed, 23 Feb 2010i saw it it was cheap so should i buy or notmotorola's w388 is cheap enough to provide you so many features so my opinion is to buy this. in fact iam using it presently

I've been using it for a year.Camera is not good but it can be used.If you want pro pictures you buy digital camera.Texting is ok for me.It is resistfull even on hard drops(I played football with mine).Its true that it doesn't support video but its pretty cheap so you cant expect pro phone.Music player is good +2Gb mem.card works great.Battery last for 8 days with only phoning,with music it lasts 4 days.So if you need phone for calls and don't want to spend a lot of money this may be your good choice.

As for the "error unknown" problem the only solution i found was doing a Master clear followed by a master reset (or vice versa). It can be done by going to Settings -> Initial Setup -> Master Clear/Master Reset. Both Master clear and reset have to be done one after the other to get back the message functionality. WARNING: Master clear and reset wipes out ALL data on ur PHONE MEMORY. You will lose all contacts unless they are stored in ur SIM. Back up ur contacts to ur SIM and lock ur important messages. Locked messages wont be deleted.

I just bought this phone a week back. It's a very good basic phone. Good sound clarity. It's just a VGA camera, 65k colored 128x160 pixel screen. Camera clarity is good in sufficient light. Over all I'm satisfied. I give 4.5 out of 5 for this phone..
