The milestone XT720 has just been announced for the UK, pre orders start this Friday 11th June & released by the end of June, No upgrade as promised though same spec as the Xt720 in Korean one.

Rumors about the Motorola Motoroi hitting the US started floating around back in January, but, until now, no US carrier has announced anything related to the smartphone. And while users are probably expecting the Motoroi to be launched by big operators (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint), it looks like the first to actually sell the handset will be Cincinnati Bell.
The regional carrier (less than 1 million subscribers) has already introduced its own Android smartphone, the Cincinnati Bell Breeze, and it also sells the Google Nexus One. Now, according to Phandroid, Cincinnati Bell plans to offer the Motorola Motoroi starting the third quarter of 2010

Motoroi that will be launched in the UK soon, but that’s just a guess. In any case, the smartphone should feature a WVGA touchscreen display, Android 2.1 (or maybe Android 2.2 Froyo – which will certainly be out in Q3), Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI port, and a 5MP or 8MP camera with HD video recording.

Guys beware! DO NOT buy this phone because It CANNOT be unlocked! Both motorola and SKtelecom (the korean carrier that sells this phone) will refuse to provide a way to unlock this phone. Even if you have an unlock code there is no way to enter it into the phone. There is also no way to reflash the phone to unlock it since the only firmware available for ths phone is the sktelecom firmware, which is locked. Believe me or learn it the hard way. That being said. Get the xt701 instead.

According to the latest new about this phone to be updated with booted ram 512mb, rom 512mb and 1ghz snapdradon, android 2.1 but keep all featurings. this phone may change the name before it become world wide and first get uk. two motorola phones passed wifi certifications: 1. moto mb810 may be moto shadow. 2. moto a955 may be moto droid 2 because the normal droid get certificated wifi on moto a855. but verizon said they are busy testing new phone named moto xtreme. it can be the motoroi to uk, moto droid 2, moto shadow or xtreme for the xtreme cpu 1.2ghz on motoroi. let wait and see.

All of the Droid Phones out-perform the iphone hands down with not only features, but service period. You are comparing the iphone's processor to an 1GHZ Snapdragon processor in the HTC Droid Incredible. (No comparison, simply the Droid is an iPhone Killer !!) I think it's homework time for those who post without doing their research first.
