Buyer Caution:
Because of Android Restrictions, this fone
1) cannot host Hotspot although it can access WiFi,
2) USB Tethering isn't available, so you won't be able to access your phone's net on your laptop or PC.
3) internal memory is just 197MB, so can't install as many apps as you may want.
Rooting the device will solve all these problems.
But it will definitely void your warranty because ROOTING IS NOT UPDATING.
So I have decided to root it after the one year warrant ends.

please tel... moreDidn't hang even once as of now, even when the processor is weak, just 550 MHZ. That was a good surprise. The interface and brousing is smooth.
I wouldn't advice updating the 2.1 Eclair. Although your warranty wouldn't void by doing so, it will still add additional burden on an already underpowered CPU.
Anyways, I don't feel the need to update unnecessarily. 2.1 works just fine.
Battery is a disappointment, as like every android fone. Can't watch a 2hr HD movie without the charger.
One gap that I noticed - you can't organise your contacts in groups like friends, relatives, colleagues.....thats inconvinient for someone like me. Also you don't have inbox, outbox, drafts option for SMS. I think it's bcoz of 2.1. Other Androids with higher versions have these facilities.
Resolution is terrific. The video player they provied can play only MP4, but I downloaded a player from Android market, so now it plays every thing even MKV.
But be careful with the resolution you play.
In all its the best buy in GSM+CDMA. I am happy with it. But if you don't need CDMA, i would suggest somethin else. For 9000, it's worth every penny.
