How about the chips in your computer? Made in China?
How about the airplane you fly? Airbus only? No Boeing? Without Boeing, would there be any airbus?
And who else can put astronauts in space through a comfortable space shuttle?
And who got you the Internet and e-mail you enjoy so much everyday? Japanese?
No offense, I love Japanese cars over Americans anytime, and chances are most of my Moto phones are made in China.
Though that doesn't mean Americans are always behind in technology....

technology in US is lagging behind Asia, Europe and Japan, where blackberry and Motorola melts down!!! BIG TIME!!!

I had an N82 and my friend have a ZN5... and she regrets buying the ZN5 even though it has good camera. She told me that it was just that nothing functional at all (OS)...
