Motorola's Razr 50 Ultra and Razr 50 arrive globally, Moto Tag unveiled
Motorola unveiled the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra a few hours ago at Lenovo event in China and the duo is now officially launching outside China too.
Motorola Razr 50 Ultra/Motorola Razr+ (2024)
We won't go over the full specs sheet again, but let's recap it - the Razr 50 Ultra a.k.a. Motorola Razr+ (2024) in North America packs an impressive 4.0-inch 1272x1080px cover screen with a variable 165Hz refresh rate, and a 6.9-inch 1080x2640px 165Hz folding display.
It packs a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and a 4,000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.

The Motorola Razr 50 a.k.a. Motorola Razr (2024) in North America has the same inner display, but a slightly smaller 3.6-inch 1056x1066px cover screen that goes up to 120Hz - not 165hz.
The chip of choice here is the freshly announced Dimensity 7300X with 8GB of RAM. There's a larger 4,200mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging.
Moto Tag (2024)
Motorola also unveiled the Moto Tag - a Bluetooth Low Energy tracker with Ultra Wideband to tack onto your belongings to track using Google's Find My Device network.
When paired with an Android smartphone, which supports Ultra Wideband, like the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, the Moto Tag also offers improved precision tracking but this feature is pending future UWB integration in the Find My Device network by Google.
The Moto Tag's expected battery life is "an entire year on a single charge" and it's also user-replacable as it's a standard CR2032 cell. The IP67 rating ensures you can bring it everywhere with you.
The Moto Tag has a multifunctional button, which allows you to find your phone and can also be used as a remote camera controller.
The Moto Tag is compatible with iOS and Android's unwanted tracker alerts, to ensure users don't have unwanted trackers on their person or luggage.
Curiously, the design of the Moto Tag is quite like the Apple AirTag so you can use all third-party accessories made for Apple's tracker.

$999 is still relatively affordable compared to its closest rival. Not only Samsung's current Z Flip5 is more expensive, but it will get more expensive with the upcoming Z Flip6.

If you don't sell off your flip phone after using it for some time and if you want to keep using it you will have to replace 2 batteries instead of 1. So no flips for me. With a battery at only 4000mAh that especially holds true for t...

First phone to really peak my interest but, not enough of a phone enthusiast to pay that much. Sadly, to many moving parts to consider a refurbished version at half the price in 2 years. Very very interesting phone. Never thought I'd consider pa...
