$999 is still relatively affordable compared to its closest rival. Not only Samsung's current Z Flip5 is more expensive, but it will get more expensive with the upcoming Z Flip6.

If you don't sell off your flip phone after using it for some time and if you want to keep using it you will have to replace 2 batteries instead of 1. So no flips for me.
With a battery at only 4000mAh that especially holds true for this phone.

First phone to really peak my interest but, not enough of a phone enthusiast to pay that much. Sadly, to many moving parts to consider a refurbished version at half the price in 2 years. Very very interesting phone. Never thought I'd consider paying more than $400 for a phone. Who know, it's a very tempting gadget.. I may finally join the club (still not interested in selfies, cameras or social media).

Domestoboto, 26 Jun 2024Probably because Motorola ALMOST NEVER updates their phones... moreNot to mention Razr 40 still having A13 and A14 being nowhere to be found.
And this all while asking Samsung prices.
Unacceptable, you ask Samsung/iPhone/Pixel prices, then deliver the same support too.

Ellen Dale, 25 Jun 2024And Plaeople will still glorify z flips over this Probably because Motorola ALMOST NEVER updates their phones, especially when it comes to Android version upgrades. Security updates are supposedly only "quarterly", while AVUs come at least a year after everyone else has rolled out their AVUs.
Samsung, meanwhile, makes sure to update its Flips every single month. For 5 years. Heck, they even beat Google in terms of speediness of Android updates.

The Razr 50 Ultra should've had a 50MP main, a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP 2× telephoto, with the main camera using either the Sony LYT-700 or the Sony IMX890 and the ultrawide and the telephoto both using the Sony LYT-600. Also, the selfie camera should've used a Samsung ISOCELL JNS sensor that Motorola has been using for its selfies this year.
Other than that, my main complaint — and this is more important to me than even the camera setup, despite me caring about the camera setup of phones much more than most people — is that the inner display should've been 20:9. Motorola really struck perfection when they went with a 20:9 foldable display on their Motorola Razr 2022, and I have no idea why they decided to completely abandon that in favour of this 21:9 mess. A 6.7" 20:9 foldable display would've been amazing, even more so if Motorola had the balls to try to reduce the bezels and go with something like Transsion's Borderless Foldable Main Screen, removing the ridged bezels that make the phone both look ugly and become unwieldy to use.
