As to the USB cable: I asked NEC and have been told that I can purchase it (in the UK) from a company called Seme. The phone no. is 01664 484092. It'll only work with Windows 2000 and Windows XP PCs, no Mac, no Linux. Pricing is (an outrageous) £18+ incl. VAT and postage and packaging. They don't currently have it in stock, it'll take 10-14 days until they do.

Carphone Warehouse got back to me saying they don't have it in stock either and don't know when they will, but when they do they intend to sell it for £30, which is 5p more than I had paid for the phone. Unbelievable.

I can't turn off my constantly flashing key pad! This is driving me crazy. It pulses at about 10 second intervals. There is nothing about it in the manual & at night it's like having a cop car in the room with me (unless I put it in a drawer of course) HELP HELP HELP

Thanks, I am aware you can send an MMS but that costs money whereas simply copying pictures directly to the PC would be free (except for the one-time payment for the USB cable).

Hi with regards to a USB lead - haven't found one, but it is very easy to send your photos etc to PC via MMS, just set it up and it asks you if you want to send it to number or email - simple!
But I'm still having problems downloading ringtones, I've got them sitting waiting, but everytime I try to download it says file too big - Please someone help!!!

I've got this phone and have been told I could get a USB lead to download photos made with the built-in cam, but I have no idea where to buy this. Anybody here in the know?

Bought the NEC e122 before Xmas - I have changed the phone because nobody could hear me but I could hear them, the second phone locks up into SOS call only mode if there is no signal - I have to switch the phone off and switch back on for it to work. I am very sorry I have bought this phone - its unreliable and not user friendly

I had the same problem. I left it on charge for five minutes before trying to turn it on and that seemed to work.

With regards to the shortness of battery, I have experienced exactly the same thing with it going from half full to flat in less than 48 hours. Can I ask if you changed the simm card that came with the phone? I use Orange PAYG and wanted to keep my old number so changed simm. My husband has decided to take the phone back because of the shortness of battery so I put the simm back that came with the telephone. Since then the telephone has stayed fully charged, and this is around 36 hours later. Don't know if this is coincidence but if someone could shed some light would be grateful. Also, with new simm card it has come up with a 'G' in a green hexagon on the screen which it didn't have before, does anyone know what this means. TIA.

it is marvelous using NEC e122 cell phone. my worry is how to record either music or photograph to install it into "saved" column of the phone. Please would you kindly tell me how to go about that? My wife is also going in for one because of the numerous melodies in the e122. most of the music meet her desire. Thanks for producing NEC e122.

I am also having trouble using the GPRS. I can only get on the orange homepage but then the phone just turns itself off. I cannot retreive any of the photo messages which is really frustrating seeing as this was one of the reasons I bought the phone.

You can't get sound on video - just been to CFW and the reps there know nothing much about this phone......I'm still having problems downloading stuff - I pay for it - receive it - but once I go to collect it, the wap doesn't let you "collect" - my settings are correct I know that for sure! I might try calling the number recommeded for software or something - but meantime can anyone tell me if they've successfully downloaded any hip tunes????
This is an ideal smart phone if you like the tones that come with it , but they're a bit naff and could be done with something more exciting.
And the other thing - answer to the question about numbers being on the sim or phone - you can either choose to save them to one or the other NOT both, then you just have one listing. Saving them to your sim card keeps your phone memory free for other things.

Bought this phone myself just before christmas and so far have not had any problems with it.Agree its got to be excellent value for the price, considering the very good camera, and all the other features.Contacted nec myself to ask about charge up time, and included in thier e-mail was the name and telephone number of a company that provide accesories for this phone, they are:Seme-01664 484 092
