@ ACTIVMOBILE you can pick up an NEC e313 for £30 INCLUDING a £15 top up voucher. so dixons is NOT the best deal for an NEC e313 pre pay as we are.

found these usefull codes on Aussie3g,
when you go to SIM Lock mine says off now but network lock says on ? tried above tecnique with network code but it didnt work, you need a precise 8 dig code

in fact, above tactic will show on phone even if it is on home screen with 3 sim in it !

                            software version *#2820#
                            master reset *73738#
                            SP lock *#3210#
                            Cooprate lock *#8140#
                            SIM lock *#4960#
                            Net Lock *#7320#

in fact, when you input this, it just shows the status the phone is now.

I also find out if you want to unlock the Net Lock, you could input
                            #7320*(8 digits password)#

the thing is I don't know the password and I couldn't find it.

                                      NEC C313 / C316 / E313 / E606 / E613 / E616 / E808 Temporary Unlock Solution :

To unlock a 2G or 2.5G SIM card do the following :-

                                      1) Put a 2G/2.5G Simcard into the phone and turn ON the phone.

                                      2) Enter the following code into the phone (xxxxxxxx = any numbers, If the phone does not ask for a code after entering the #4960* part then this method will not work for you)

                                      #4960*xxxxxxxx#
                                      *4960*xxxxxxxx*xxxxxxxx#

                                      3) Turn the phone OFF and ON again.

Remember the xxxxxxxx you used. You will need to use same code in the future.

You do not have to do this every time you switch the phone on.

                                      Attention:

                                      - This unlock method ONLY works with one Simcard. If you wish to change to another Simcard you will have to unlock again using this same code!

                                      ********************************************************

If you do this too many times (Appx 3) when you switch the phone on it states ‘PLEASE INSERT CORRECT USIM CARD’

What you need to do here is the 112 trick.

                                      112 Trick :-

                                      Switch on phone

                                      Hit the Enrgy key

                                      Dial 112 and hit send

Phone will say it needs to switch to 3g mode

                                      Hit Ok

After phone had switched to 3g (hourglass stops turning) hit cancel to stop it phoning 112

Enter your 8 digit password (any 8 numbers seem to work here)

Phone will now go to your 2g/2.5g network

YOU MUST DO THIS EVERY TIME YOU SWITCH THE PHONE ON.

                                      ********************************************************
