My girlfriend bought me the NEC e540 mobile phone 2weeks ago and for the most part I am happy with it. I was disappointed to hear that the bluetooth capability applies to data only. I would like to know if anyone knows how to use the call waiting capability on this phone as I have activated it but as yet I hsve not successfuly switched between 2phone calls without disconnecting the inital call. Im very frustrated, could anyone e.mail me and tell where or if im going wrong. Many thanks in advance

Certainly, this cell has bluetooth for connecting and a limited Ird data transmiting, but it's a good cell at all, and pretty.

it is 1 of da best fones but 1 problem if it does not play and say 'cannot play this data format' wat do u do please help me with this it will b apreaciated HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sick of people not getting the point this phones does not send files it can only connect with a headset and the infrared can only send over 1mb. People with sense will read this instead of those that keep posting that their bluetooth does not work.

i just got the phone today and everything fine bar one thing, i dont know how to get the mp3 working weather you need to by a cord for it or not.

good phone but where do you get the usb leads been everywhere to look for a cheap one but they are all £20+ any ideas. infared good and speedy and most phones that have blue tooth will also have infared. had mine for a while now but still love its sleek style and east to use nature and where do you get the mp3 from?

I think has a problem with the bluetooth which is the same problem i have. My friend tried in vain to send some music to my phone and it didn't work. Can soemone please help as I am really desperate to get it working.

hey, i bought this phone about 4 weeks ago, and i love it works brilliantly and everything. only problem is along with a few other people, i too cant get my bluetooth to work, i can turn it on and everything but whenever i try to recieve a file it wont let me. please please please can someone help me!ime desperate to sort this out!!thanks again

I know it's really difficult to gett he cable and siftware - I ordered one from Ebay and it was a pirate and wouldn't work on the PC. I phoned NEC to complain - they said you can buy it from Semen Nedis - they have a website and you can phone through your order. £23 for the cable and legitimate software, including postage. Works perfectly!!! Now I have another problem - I can put MP3s onto the phone and listen to them individually, but everytime I try to add a song to my Playlist, it says "unable to play". Any help?

i really need help with bluetooth as mine doesnt seem to work either. it wont allow any files to be sent from other phones - how do i get this to be accepted? any help would be great thanks
