      Hi Scott,
The bluetooth on the e540 is version 1.2 and will only comunicate with a headset, and will not send data, ir will send data up to 1 meg, but slow, you will be better off getting a data cable from THE LINK web site for £9.99, and then you can download the software from http://www.neceurope.com/mobiles/software.asp?phone=75&category=4&language=ENG&cp=5 click imageing, click n411i click download software, this will give you all that you need, for data transfer. Ken.

Thanks for the link to the suite. I've got it on my computer now, and it works fabulously. With one problem - when I plug the USB cable into my phone, I get a message reading "Battery Voltage Error". I'm unable to transfer anything to or from it.

I've read the previous messages - does that mean I need the USB cable available from The Link?(I beleive mine was a cheaper one, for about £6.99)

Just got my data cable today from The Link
web site, it's great, downloaded 6 mp3s on to the phone, now i am converting my friends names into Morse Code, then into mp3 format, and i am going to download them as ringtones, and apply them to my friends names, so when the phone rings, i will know who it is straight away. the cable cost £9.99 from the link web site. Ken.

Solution found to Phil's cable problem.
Previously bought cheaper cable and got 'Battery overheat' message. Now bought proper Belkin cable from The Link and message/problem now gone.

the link that's been posted takes you to the e540 page, where it states that there are no downloads, try the following to get to downloads dor the N411i (the other version of the phone.
                    click on 'all phones'
then click on N411i software downloads.
but beware, they are large files, and if you're on a dial up connection, then it'll take ages.
I'll try to include the liknk below

CHRIS if you phone your network service provider, this (should be a free call)they will send you a couple of icons, and when you open them, they will set it up for you.
otherwise it does take a bit of working out, it took me all day, to get it to work, but i put this down to the fact that i had just bought the phone, and the network had not completely configured my account, hope you get it sorted, the phone is great for the money, and when my data cable arrives, i am sure i will learn a lot more about it. Have fun, Ken.

Could someone *please* put up the link to where they found the suite needed on the computer, in order to link to the phone using a USB cable. I've looked everywhere, and come up with nothing.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can do this.
