Hiya I got this phone at the weekend and I think its great. I too was getting frustrated with Bluetooth but I don't think its any great loss and as for MP3, ive already got an iPod so why more? The thing is that I have a NEC 3G or something like that, the really big phone. Although I can easily connect my new phone to my computer and transfer files and stuff, I would really like to connect my old phone to get all the videos and photos on that onto my computer. Everytime I try to plug it in, it says there is no phone connected. Can anyone help me out?

Bluetooth can only paired with headset only, not PCs. Ringtones can only use amr format. And must be less than 64k in size.

hi their just want to say this is a great phone ,ok so maybe the blue tooth dont work but a word of advice for you people that want it to work..blue tooth also allows people access to your phone in other words its like hacking people can get into your phone and hack into your phone numbers and personal files like photos etc so maybe its a good thing it dont work.especially if you have private photos of your loved ones on it.as for the rest of the features once you have succeeded on fully installing the software as mentioned earlier, using the usb cable provided, passing files to and from your phone'pc 'via the cable is easy- once you've mastered how to do it....how do i know i have all the software installed.ok on your desktop there should be three icons 1.nec mobile suite 2.nec synchronization 3.nec connection wizard without the software
installed you will have no chance of doing any uploading / downloading thats all the help i can give you at this time....good luck skitzo drop me a thankyou by visiting www.tagworld.com/skitzo2u and listen to some of my musci in return

ok folks here it is if you installed the software and your pc dont recognise it then you prob havent installed the software correctly make sure you install it agin and go through the whole installation process. you should be able to pass photos and mp3s to and from your phone a bit like drag and drop one you overcome the little problems..as for using mp3s as ring tones you've no chance as for blue tooth this seems to be a major problem with this phone infra red never tried it..so ther you go dig in muck about and learn is my policy have fun and what a pic it takes the quality is excellent

you should be able to zoom by selecting the up and down buttons during photos (or is it L/R?)but not if max quality is selected

Any BT only works for headset, you cannot pair with another phone

I understood the phone had zoom on it but it only seems to work whilst in video mode. When i looked throught the menu whilst on camera mode the zoom option is in a light grey colour instead of a black. Can anybody help?

does the zoom work on anyones phone. it doesnt look like the 411i has it built in even though the spec. says it has...also it isnt communicating via USB cable and the NEC software supplied with windows XP.

If you buy an i-mode phone you cannot use mp3 as ringtone. you need the wap version, E540

mike, you are using the wrong port..the Nec Mobile Software ports used should be the same as the port displayed when you detect the phone using the device manager...

                                        dudes and dudettes,
i wonder if the phones you bought comes with manual for file transfers and other issues because i find your questions very elementary(sorry). it should be outlined there the limitations of the phone etc...so please, RTFM first before you complain....

                                        thank you.
