Gixer: On the forum for the e616 you can find out how to play bigger video files - www.aussie3g.com. There's a lot of useful information there.
After a month of usage I have taken my 616, shut it off and locked it away in a cupboard. I'm back to using my SE T610 with another network which although lacking half the features of the 616 is at least reliable. I'm not losing much money and at the end of the 6 month subscription I'm cancelling, getting the phone unlocked and selling it on (hopefully for a profit). The main reason for this is the shitty battery life, it constantly corrupts MP3 files on my Memory sticks, the s/w interface was designed by an infant and the poor quality of the 3 service here in DK. Only 1 in 5 people recieve SMS's sent from my phone to theirs (on other networks), the customer support is laughable and when you have a problem they want you to jump through rings before they do anything about fixing it. For those in Denmark you should be aware that Sonofon, Orange, TDC and a couple of other players are entering the 3G arena in the DK market very soon and I'm sure their offerings will be much more attractive - phones and service.

I bought NEC e313 and e616 at the same time, and I must say that the phone e313 is much better than e616, except from the size.
1.Longer battery life.
2. Better camera zoom.
3. Better camera resolution (640x480)
4. Better picture quality.
The phone e616 have a few better features than e313.
1. Camera light
2. USB (Can only be used as a modem)
3. Better keyboard.
Thank god that I didn't pay anything for the phones, except from the monthly fee from hi3g I have to pay in another 11 months until I can get rid of them.

the reason it cuts out between calls is because its changing between the '3' coverage areas.. didnt anyone read it.. or i suppose everyone went and bought it without know its limitations...read your fucken manuals people.. i've had this phone for about 3 weeks and have had not one problem with it at all..

Yep Jeff I noticed the same. Which kinda defeats the purpose of using your phone alarm to wake you in the morning if they recommend you charge your phone while it is off (which is usually more practical overnight)

Bought my e616v in Denmark last saturday. For me ACPU:A125.56.07 CCPU:C623.ROV.
The 5 alarms don't work if the phone is switched off which is very annoying. Anyone having the same problem?

Me again.
My battery charger cable, or the part of the phone it plugs into is rooted already.
Perhaps this is why we get a spare cable too huh.
Anyone else have a dodgy cable?

I'm told you can get upgrades down for this phone. My friend has his upgraded just the other week to iron on some of the problems. If in Perth, you can go to Osborne Park to get it fixed. Just ring 3 tech support for the place I guess. I'm yet to find out the exact place so I can take my phone in too.
Has anyone else had probs with not being able to dial out, but you have full bars to indicate reception is perfect? And then if you get someone to call you, it will go straight to voicemail?
Grrrr to the reception and lying bars

Bought the phone 3 days ago, it is a cool design on the phone NEC e616, but the battery lifetime is a JOKE, it says in the specs a lifetime on 44 hour but for me it can only last 7 - 8 hour on the standard 780Ah battery.

I love the phone I really do, but the more I use it the more it lets me down, it turns itself off mid way through calls, that's if the battery has lasted long enough to make a call !! today after the mic stopped working, went to bed fine, morning dead, so it's back to the shop it must go ! any one else had this happen ... oh and when typing texts and emails the screen keeps blanking out and stalling ... all in all a fab phone ! keep up the good work NEC
and WHEN the update, fixs are released PLEASE let me know where I can get them done !!!
