If and when the N2 comes out it will be the greatest phone of its time, until then we have to make do with the N1m. So many people go on about Bluetooth and to be honest I have only considered phones in the past that house this feature. When all said and done, what do you use Bluetooth for? -1). Handsfree: this phone is shipped with a handsfree/earphones and although requires wires, you wouldn't really want to listen to the mp3's through a one-ear Blutooth headset.
2). Synchronisation: get over it! How difficult is it to plug a USB cable into your PC?! Even if you didn't, you'd still have to plug in the Bluetooth dongle, plus (apart from extremely recent and quite rare handsets, the current Bluetooth technology isn't all that fast). 3). Connecting with other phones devices: how often do you guys REALLY use this feature? C'mon, if worst comes to the worst, you can always use the IRDA port (although slowly becoming obsolete, it'll be a long while yet before the majority of pepoles handsets have done away with this feature and completely replaced by Bluetooth). I think this phone is excellent and by the time the N2 is available it will be a strong contender within its market. For now, the N1m is more than adequate unless perhaps, you're an absolute serious business user (which I doubt most of you aren't).

the N1m is an updated version of a phone that should've hit the market along time ago.
this is no longer a hot item. much better phones on the market.
neonode should better think of using symbian OS with UIQ

Does the N1m run any Windows CE application? If not - what are the requirements for an application to dun on N1m?

I forgot to mention, the new price of the N1m with a 1Gb SD card is now 520 EUR. (as opposed to 499 EUR. last week). There is also the option of 512, 256, 128 and 64Mb instead for a lower cost. I personally went with a 256Mb card as this seems most cost-effective.

The N1m is on sale through the Swedish manufacturers online shop (www.neonode.com) -although you will need a credit card to pay for it. For the last week the shop has been temporarily closed as demand has been so high and now that is has re-opened, the price has gone up. All units are sold SIM free and will work worldwide. Mine should be arriving in the next week, so I will also keep you guys posted on how I get on with it. I can only really see two downsides to this phone (and they're only very small points): 1). You can't use the phone with your eyes closed (as I often do when I'm too hung over to look at the bright screen of a mobile..OK, maybe tha's just me then?!) as there are no physical buttons. 2). Having a SIM card slot that is not completely accessible, using a ghost/secondary SIM is going to make for messy and unpractical wires hanging outside of the unit.

Why is everybody obsessed with the D500, My brother owns one and to be honest, to have a 1mp camera and no memory card slot is pathetic. To transfer anything to it or from it takes forever.

I still think the P910 is the best phone on the market, and to watch full length films on it is a gem. The only downside is the VGA camera.

As for this Neonode, it looks like it blows the pants off the D500 and the 1g card potential is enough to choose this over the D500.

Well my order for this beauty has been submited and Im really looking forward to receiving it. With 1gb of storage space, im sure if it fails to impress as a mobile I can take advantage of the mp3 capabilities :P

Whilst 500 euros is a fair share of money, i think the uniqueness of this phone will be more than enough to make up for it... Ill keep you all posted on on how I get on using the handset.

This shouldn't even really be compared to a D500 (oh and P4U are NOT the only shop to sell silver D500s so you've been lied to!!)

Neonode looks interesting but i couldnt justify being a tester for it (i mean they dont exactly have a long track-record do they?)

Brev... stop your futile endeavours to turn this into a Arena of Lies....I work half my week as a phone salesperson, dealing with every phone on the market and I am yet to receive one complaint, or servicing request on the samsung d500. You clearly do not work for Samsung handset department, u are clearly a pathological liar. Your words dont belong here amatuer. The D500 is an excellent phone.

Back to the topic! Sorry Readers.

Neonode is available only through their 'web shops'(their online stores)... If you go to their website you can find one near you, if you live in Australia acquiring one of these phones will be a challenge.

Nevertheless Good Luck, they are interesting, unique and warrant a good look.
