xpitt, 02 Mar 2010one week playing with this thing...the problems:
1. blue... more1 hvnt had that problem. but u cud try to make the auto screen lock longer if it gets locked during a file transfer maybe it stops sending/receiving data. idk iv nvr had this problem.
2 it connects fine to a windows computer. do u use mac? cos it says on neonode's website it doesnt support mac. u cud try connecting it when the phone is turned off. in this case, it shud behave like a regular memory card/stick. if it still doesnt work, ur cable might be faulty and u cud try to buy a new 1, or try connecting to ur pc using bluetooth.
i hope i helped

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2010This hp is sold for no more than USD60 in my country ... It... moreidk wat ur talking about. what is hp? the computer company? im guessing handheld phone.
neonode ab went bankrupt which means they r not gna make any more phones and they r not making the n2 anymore. neonode now just focuses on providing optical touchscreens to other products and its a shame that other products dont use optical touchscreens cos its the best touchscreen technology:
- its as cheap as resistive (capacitive costs about 2x-4x as much!)
- it can be more responsive than capacitive! (resistive is far less responsive)
- supports multitouch (resistive doesnt, capacitive does)
- can also be used as an ambient light sensor for display brightness (neither resistive nor capacitive can and require an additional sensor for this)
- can easily expand to any screen size, idk y neonode kept their phones so small (resistive works better on larger screens, capacitive become too expensive on large screens)
- can be used with anything (stylus, fingers, gloves...) (resistive can also but its not as responsive and capacitive only allows current conducting materials: fingers)
- doesnt reduce the quality of the display (resistive for example uses several cheap plastic layers which scratch easily and make colors appear more faded especially under sunlight. capacitive also uses layers with electricity passing thru, but the quality of the display is not noticeably worsened by this)
- detects motion/movements along the screen far better/faster than capacitive and resistive
- all parts of the screen r equally responsive, (resistive for instance has the most responsive part in the middle since that is where the plastic bends the easiest. this makes touching corners and edges more difficult, especially if recessed. that is unfortunate since the options/menu/exit... r usually located at the edges/corners. also the smaller the resistive touchscreen, the harder for the plastic to bend as much so less responsive, or cheaper and more easily scratched. capacitive r also equally responsive around the screen)
- can detect the center of the touch using algorithms resulting in far more accuracy. (resistive responds to the area with the most pressure and capacitive responds to where u 1st touched it and since it doesnt respond to nails, finding the center of the touch is pointless)
- low power consumption (much less than capacitive, and resistive is also fairly close)
- can be made v durable (especially if u consider resistive, capacitive is also fairly durable but when the screen cracks it wont work as well, this will)
- calibration is not needed (resistive might require this from time to time on a large screen, idk about capacitive, probably eventually)
- optical allows a thinner profile than resistive and optical
- optical allows far more light transmittance than capacitive and resistive (so u can hv brighter screens)
im rly disappointed that more phones dont use optical.

This hp is sold for no more than USD60 in my country ... It's a Malaysian made phone with partner from overseas ( 1 of the European hp manufacturer , not 2 sure ) . . . Overall , its a value for money compared to other China-made or CSL ( another local brand ) phones . Dun expect 2 much of technology stuff in it as its already 3 yr old but 3 yrs ago , its a "wow" factor . Rumours has it the partner pulled out , therefore , no more new model after N2 but the current company is still around 2 produce N2 and for service ..

RIP Neonode
shame, they were working on the n3 and n2.5(for US) when they declared bankruptcy.
1 of d few phone companies that was innovative. they were the 1st to use the flick finger to scroll thru menus and 1 of d 1st who saw the potential of touchscreen phones.

My goodness, what the heck is this? where is from? it's swedish isn't it?
NO 3G?
NO EDGE?
NO Wlan?
NO Video Call?
This is basically a touch screen phone with camera. that's all? even the website is poor (http://www.neonode.com/). might as well buy cheapest set from other brands.
dudeeee... huh?!?

I recently bought a Neonode N2 brand new from www.tecnoboutique.com It only costed me 175 €. Around 200 usd. It´s really an amazing phone, quite small, the response of the screen is very fast and the software very fast too ( it just took 4 seconds to transfer my 175 contacts from the SIM card to the memory of the phone )
