New Android 10 beta update arrives to Galaxy S9 and S9+

Ro, 06 January 2020

Samsung launched its Android 10 beta program for the Galaxy S9-series and the Note9 in late November and has since pushed a couple of updates and today it adds one more, which also includes the latest January 2020 security patch.

The main order of the day are bug fixes. The update resolves an issue with the Secure Folder locking out some users and removes the unwanted sound when performing sound quality optimizations. It was present when headphones are plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack or the USB-C port.

Camera performance is also tuned with this update. There's also motion recognition when navigation gestures are active.

If you are on the beta, you can try looking for the update manually through the Settings menu. It should be available already or if not, you might have to wait just a little longer before it pops up in your region. The update itself is small and weighs just 112MB.
