That means is 1 year usage phone. Maximum 2 if you don't care about IOS updates, because Apple will release some security updates for this models 1 year after they stop IOS updates.
But from what I remember iPhone Xs is bad phone in battery. I had one for short time, and it had 94-95% battery health. Still, I charge it twice a day with moderate usage. And that is bad considering it is charging in about 90 minutes. Also, it got quite hot in video calling (FaceTime or WhatsApp), maybe because of the small size.
I will not recommend this phone in 2024, unless you absolutely want the cheapest iPhone with oled display that still has updated software. Even something like iPhone 11 is better than this phone because it will be 2-3 years usage phone. And is almost similar priced in second hand markets. Of course is not oled, but has better chipset, better cameras and better battery.

Funny, 5y old and still works. Latest soft, perfect size. Not much afraid about dropping it as it costs nothing now. Will miss this kind of hardware, maybe SE4 become real.

The best phone still in 2023 in terms of software updates and value overall. The video recording of XS is like a pro. Supports wireless charging too. All in all, I recommend this phone to anyone who are looking for a decent smartphone for a relatively small amount of money.

Rajesh J, 23 Sep 2023Even though the iOS 17(2024) is old, we can update the apps... moreYes absolutely it’s perfect if anything and I switched from a flagship Samsung to this phone and if anything I can’t even tell the difference. I didn’t go for the 11 since it was LCD TFT which isn’t a very good screen at all, XS still supports the latest IOS 17 and potentially IOS 19 so two more years of support. It is so fast and can barely tell the difference between this and a 12. I’m skipping 11 as honestly it feels like apple downgraded when creating the 12. It is still an excellent option and can do more than just open and close apps: it is fantastic.

Very frustrated twice I have ordered an XS phone case for my grandson and both times the case was too big. He has a very small phone. We looked in settings and it says his phone is an XS the cases I ordered were not Max either. I don’t understand why I’m not able to order an XS and it fit his phone what am I missing?

Ig it may take another 2y, so I can use for at 3y without worrying much if battery & processor is capable to use basic apps, social media apps & Clash of Clan
