It's not fair to dump such a legendary brand.if they are wise they should retain Nokia brand name on their Lumia series, they can add Microsoft name on the back cover or something if they want

I love nokia brands and its feauters but now this microsoft fails to meat the stratergy of nokia.lumia all brand sold out mobile phones not equal to one brand of nokia series, from its low end to high end devices. Now microsoft is adding more and more features but it fails. my suggestion to microsoft should again start R&D to provide new OS to overcome android.Still some people in the world believe in nokia ,Kindly introduce new OS before your brand name spoil.Introduce user frendly device not like lumia device.

PK, 27 Oct 2014That I used phone this phone 4 years ago doesn't tell anyth... moreFinally, at least you've admitted that you don't use your phone seriously and that your comments are pointless.
Everyone who has some knowledge about it knows that Nokia caused it's own fail. People were angry for Nokia and didn't buy Nokia phones. Nokia absolutely discredited itself in mobile phone industry.
You could not disprove my comments. It's not surprising, because I wrote the facts.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2014So the truth hurts you too. Nokia died because their newer ... moreAham, i was talking about old devices to you? 512 mb ram only the n808 had, and believe that phone can multitask your so called heavy apps like there is no tomorrow. Show me an android doing that. Ups, there is none cause the 512 mb devices can't even support true multitasking. I'm biased? Well, what can i say. We can all se the truth. Yes i'm biased and wp is doing super good, i mean come on, they even saved Nokia, right?. Wake up man and look around, you may actually see there is a world around you. And elope was not introducesd to save Nokia. Elope was there to bring her down and sale it's guts to microsoft. As we can all clearly see, wp had no traction while nokia devices was still in Nokia's hands. Why started to get some slow traction (which by the way is nothing in front of what meego could be today) after buying Nokia. Well, simple. Microaoft did nothing for their crappy a system until they managed to bring nokia down. Then they started to work on wp 8.1 wich at least has a separated volume function. Now they are working on wp10. Now why is that? 4 years of doing nothing but keep sinking the best mobile devices ever and one year of trying to revive it with heavy promotion, support and updates. Yep i'm biased cause some like me can see the truth, some like you, like android. Well, let me tell you a sinple thing. If there was an 1020 meego. Android would now be at 30% market share, tops. If there symbian would have never been killed and meego also (being killed even before it's first release (the great saving elope doing this) Nokia would have still be alive and kicking. But hey, Elopes did his job in the best manner, and now his back to microsoft. Bravo, for this and bravo for making this children think they actually know something.

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2014You said that you STILL have and STILL use that phone. And ... moreThat I used phone this phone 4 years ago doesn't tell anything if I'm using it now. In fact, C5-03 is holding less used but active SIM it is very suitable for this, because it is working around 14 - 19 days on one charge.
N808 I'm using actively, because of camera, video and supercontrast screen. It is not possible to use it for other things, because of SW not existing anymore. It was very "funny" to watch all working apps disappearing. Fring, Skype (Thanks Microsoft) as they promise support till 2016...
Who cares for some feature? Everybody who is using it. Yes you can speak about tons of useless features of Samsung Galaxy S4 or what, but I mention only feature which is extremely useful and matters for me.
But I already see that it is pointless to argue with you. All sane people see what happened and current marketshare of Microsoft Lumia is speaking clearly. People are angry for Microsoft what has done and will not buy WP phone. Microsoft absolutely discredited itself in mobile phone industry. Only new generation which doesn't know is willing to try it.

Carol, 24 Oct 2014Yeah, sadly, really sadly, allot of comments here are made ... moreIt seems you you're talking about yourself. If all you know is installing apps, then why are you here?
The increase in smartphone sales affected ALL manufacturers. But anything you say won't change the fact that Nokia's market share was rapidly declining.
You're just a Nokia fanboy who can't admit the fail of Nokia. You act as a crying kid. You you don't have the knowledge to argue properly.

Carol, 24 Oct 2014Nope, nokia did'nt die because not choosing android. Nokia ... moreSo the truth hurts you too. Nokia died because their newer flagship phones were worse than their predecessors, or had the same specs. And they didn't improve anything for years. In short: it's Nokia's own fault. Even in the end of 2009, it was clearly obvious that Nokia will die soon. Then looking at the declining state, Elop come to help Nokia.
Yes, a Symbian phone even with low specs can do a lot multitasking. Rememeber, an N82 can run 70 apps at the same time with only 128MB RAM. But don't forget that the size of Symbian apps were only about a few hundred of KB (kilobyte) or 1-2 MB (megabyte). So nothing surprising.
But because you're biased and you can't think objectively, you don't mention that even the Opera Mobile opened with a few tabs with performance hungry sites, it eats all the RAM of the phone. You don't talk about that the Quake 3 eats almost all RAM of the Nokia devices with only 128MB RAM. Same is with newer Nokias and the actual apps at their time.
So you're biased because you're thinking only about light usage of the phone. This is what I'm talking about. You couldn't do any serious thing with a Nokia phone because of low specs.

Sorry only biased , 23 Oct 2014guy here is you. If you can for example exact android versi... moreYou said that you STILL have and STILL use that phone. And now you're talking otherwise, in past form? When did you lie? You've discredited yourself again.
In 2010 Nokia had weak HW and SW parameters (so not only HW).
Yes, it's true that Windows Phone has less features than Symbian had. But it's fact that if Microsoft didn't come, Nokia would have been died years ago.
The device sales means nothing. A lot of manufacturers sold more devices. Their declining market share means more and more people hated them and preferred the competition.
The feature that you've mentioned about 808: who cares? Do you want to talk about the countless smart features that came with Galaxy S4 for example?

AnonD-119024, 23 Oct 2014guys y cant u just understand what iam saying, u all are lo... moreAll phones perform well if you don't use it any seroius thing. Nokia is useless for any serious use (for example heavy gaming). And good specs are required to do this. That's all.
If nokia doesnt ends meego for Windows, the Nokia would die anyway.

very sad to ear that Nokia brand will be wipe out, this is a bit mistake from Microsoft and surely they will regret.
I'm buying a Lumia phone because it is Nokia and not because it is Microsoft or has window phone OS.
Re-branding Nokia phone as Microsoft will not only kill Nokia but both Nokia and Window Phone OS.
