hmmm not really....
Even iPad Air 1st gen can also play these games with great performance/fps/effects.
It supports metal , swift and has display resolution more than 1080p.
iPad Air uses overclocked A7 chip which is same as iPhone 5s in all aspects including the RAM.
Air's A7 runs at 1.4 Ghz while 5s A7 runs at 1.3 Ghz.
(This year , iPad Air 2 got bigger specs than iPhone 6 which wasn't the case last year)
Same with iPad Mini 2nd gen.
These two devices easily disprove the 5s low resolution display argument.
What everything else ? You mean ROMs , default apps..... (cannot think of anything else) because widgets , keyboards , live wallpapers , NFC etc. all are available on both platforms now.

saying that iOS is the more refined and optimized than android is baseless and irrelevant now.
Google has been working hard for the last 2 years over refining their OS. Up until then they were busy adding features.
A low end Moto G running stock Android 4.4 gives an experience on par with any iProduct. I made an iPhone 5S stutter in the first 5 seconds of holding it - in the multitasking menu. That is my personal best.
And I'm sure lollipop will be even better.

Apple sold what, 70 million iPads so far this fiscal year?
If those features are so saught after, why are the Android tablets and the Surface not selling 100 million? Why are people not flocking to buy those?

Its just like another spec which has no meaning when the device itself is not very functional. Even my mom is finding the iPad extremely limited compared to a 2 year old android tablet.

The iPad segment just made them $5.3 billion in what is usually their weakest quarter and it still outsells every other tablet on the market. Laptops and computers just made them $6.6 billion, has its highest market share in almost 20 years and grew more than 20% YoY in a segment that is stagnating. Maybe you should look at some financial statements before embarrassing yourself.

and in the end it still will not sell well. Sales for Apple iPad have declined for the last 2 years month after month after month. They should just scrap the whole iPad, computers, and laptops from Apple. The only thing keeping that company afloat are there iPhones.

... moreNo, it's mostly because 5s is faster than Note 4. Note 4 has like 5 times the amount of pixels to draw, I honestly doubt that its gpu is 5x as fast.
One thing I have to commend apple for is how balanced their hardware, they didn't go for the hardware case when they needn't to, result: games run beautifully and will do so for years and years to come. Most of these android phones cannot run well even contemporary games to their release.
In short, if you want gaming buy apple, if you want everything else (and don't mind the size) buy android.

Problem with benchmarks is that they are benchmarks only.
Things like Metal , Swift and Optimization will make games fly on iOS while we know about Android's case....
Always more cores and benchmarks but in real world , games lag/poorly optimized for the devices.
Have you played Asphalt 8 with Metal support ? it supports all those extra effects which I guess Android devices won't.
iPhone 5s with inferior specs to Note 4 can still play the games with extra effects only because of optimization.

Ok, I do agreed that IOS is smoother than Android in general, at least base on my own experience (own an Acer android tablet running kitkat n couples of my frens is using iPad or Galaxy tabs). But what's the point if an OS or a tablet can't even do some simple/basic stuff like transferring a file to/from PC to tablet/phone directly, share a file via Bluetooth and etc??? Android isn't tat poor in term of smoothness compare to IOS, same as the experience on PC Windows, better spec = smoother n capable to do many things regardless the spec. So u r willing to pay so much $$ juz for a couple milisec smoother?? IOS is smooth juz because it is too simple tat can't even do many simple thing, juz like Nokia 3310 symbian never lag because it is simple. Want me to elaborate more on what are those "simple things" tat IOS can't do but android or even wp can? juz search it on Google or YouTube urself.
Many IOS users thought tat Android must b very complicated n hard to learn n use, but in fact, Android juz a simple yet capable OS, with the power of customization, u can customize it in the way u like to fit ur needs. Unless ur IQ is too low or illiteracy, or else any ppl with basic IQ n knowledge should be smart enough to perform some basic customization on android without even rooting it.
Smartphone n tablet r suppose to b a tools for us to improve/enhance some of our daily tasks in order to makes our life easier n smarter, but not juz experiencing a couple milisecs smoother on it. U may call me a fxnbxy or hater, but IMO, with what Apple has offered on their phone/tablets plus this high price tag is simply not worth it at all.
