Apple doesn't make their own chips, they design them and that is it. Others like Samsung and TSMC manufacture them and they just moved to 20nm. Every step towards smaller transistors gets harder and harder.
Intel has their own factories and are a step ahead compared to others. Now, what makes you think Intel will allow Apple to use their factories?

Apple engineers their own chip designs as well, giving them an even bigger edge on this.

X, 23 Oct 2014Oh, and btw, your hands are at a (constant) temperature of ... morebuddy simply put. this test compared two non compatible devices the shield tab is using a 32bit procesing system and the itab is on 64bit so u can just see the main disadvantage the shield is at from that only. so if you switch the shield k1 from 32 bit to 64 bit based on this current test do you honestly believe the itab would be in the same class? cmon pal commonsense is what counts at times.
