Apple does well with per phone sales because up phone is the only option.... that's very basic obvious knowledge.
Where as every Android has to face every other Android.
And Samsung is still by far in the lead. They have the most market share so when there is a shift they feel it.
Their sales are down because there is amazing competition out there right now from almost every brand there is.
And iphone got hype because they made their first phablet.
of course the first iphone phablet and increased regular sized one are grabbing extra attention....duh!????

Even just last year the S4 and Note 3 alone outsold the 5s...just those two.. then you count in every other Android there is and you can't even see iphone for light years in total sales.

Apple has never told invidual sales numbers, they didnt do it it with 5c/5s they didnt do it wit iPad mini/retina.
Of course 6 is going to sell lot more, but Apple have already told that the demand for 6+ is lot bigger than what they expected.
Im almost sure Apple have already sold 10 million 6+
Gazelle said 40% of their tradeins iPhone numbers came from 6+

y, 25 Oct 2014Common Sense is N0T common on this page >4.5M is GapNot... moreI think the problem is Samsung is not able to supply enough, bare in mind it released what 2 weeks earlier then expected and UHD displays are few and far between so chances are there's not enough to go round. I know 3 people that have theirs on back order. the iPhone 6 uses the popular 1080p screens which are plentiful.

Plus, the iPhone 6 numbers you're referring to lump BOTH the 6 and 6+ together, because Apple's too scared to release individual numbers.
The 6+ is in the category of the Note 4, but the 6 is in the category of the S5.
So no, the 6+ could have sold like $hit and no one would know it.
