Apple preyed on and devoured the only high end Android manufacturer that was profitable, Samsung.

Operating income for mobile division for Samsung was $1.66 billion while Apple made $11.2 billion. Not even close. Samsung had a 73.9% drop in profits YoY.

Translation, Android can only sell junk on the low end, Apple owns the high end market.

Going for the Kill, Going for Blood, Fine by it... Dont you realise iOS and others are in no state to even ask for blood. They can only be donated that.. By Android. At this point in time, their ONLY hope is if Google messes up BIG TIME with Android. Else, it's 80%+ for Android for the rest of our lives. And ya BTW... if Apple considers this too Simplistic, why don't THEY open up Their OS for others. Cos they know that others will sell devices at half the cost. Apple wont sell Another iPhone if they make iOS open, But Google is selling NEXUS by Millions, even though Android has many more Manufacturers... BEAT THAT Eaten APPLE.

You can't climb higher when you've reached the peak, it's either you go down or stay there, but you can't stay at the peak forever.

AnonD-308243, 03 Nov 2014yeah thaks GSM. So to them ifans the last two postings clea... moreAndroid vs iOS is too simplistic, when it is open warfare, even within Android.

You think Xiaomi is shouting Go Samsung! Go Samsung! Those guys are baying for blood lol, which makes the whole market share thing laughable.

Even Google themselves have made moves to block Samsung, as it is becoming a platform in itself, differentiating itself from Android.

Also, the landscape may be very different in 2015, now that Samsung has been beaten up from all angles:

I will stick with Android as long BOINC programs like BOINC,GEM,Samsung Power Sleep, htc Power to give doesn't become avalabile on the Windows Phone. So thanks to thouse BOINC projects I am still with Android otherwise I would be with Microsoft Windows Phone. That is the real pure truth about me and Android.
