Anonym, 04 Nov 2014I find it amazing how there are still so many claims about ... morethe "LAGGING" as they say was due to the dalvik VM in most cases. yep a memory cleaning tool in the core of the dalvik could cause a stall once in a while but since that is about to be completely removed i wonder what we be the next catchy word to demeanor android, because the new ART runtime is going to seriously improve performance and battery consumption due to lower ram use for running apps and background data processing. so the hardware will run cooler and less computation will be needed. for further and in depth information just look up android ART then all i said will make sense.

thanx mates.

What you must be referring to is the occasional need to "Wipe Dalvik cache" to solve performance issues/app crashes. That indeed I've done mostly due to a botched up app update.

The short answer to your problem is simple: Dalvik is no longer the "engine" powering Lollipop.

I agree there's no lagging anymore but tell me about need of "factory reset" every few months? Is it a proper for an os who claim to be "better" than the others? Don't think so

I find it amazing how there are still so many claims about some mythical lag/OS "xyz" performs much better than Android but yet, SOMEHOW, people find it very hard to replicate those claims in real life.

I haven't yet seen a single Youtube video which could demonstrate it, not without doing something stupid first such as opening a gazilion apps in the background, increasing the detail settings to insane levels (for games) or even going as far as forcing the CPU to run slower than it actually should.

One really has to wonder if this guys are doing this for free or there is someone else with some other motives bankrolling this.

aaa, 04 Nov 2014Face it: iphone for the nobles android for the commonsiPhone for the nobles, yep thats true and also makes lives miserable for anyone who partners with it if u can recall GTAT employess had thier jobs ended because of the noble apple to please the noble iphone buyers.

android on the other hand does not seek blood and missery but opens doors to any person or company to openly use the os and that can be a positive if applied unselfishly unlike some IOS that is locked away to anyone to keep ruining lives with it claiming that its better than anything else on the planet.

Bad apps, full memory or faulty firmware can cause a phone to become slower, but let's not generalize that towards Android being the cause. It's not.

It agree that current smartphone market is quite mature , therefore any OS is struggling to increase their market share. However, feature phones still account 64% of cell phone sales and It is what Android One try to catch. Instead of relying on current smartphone user, Android One will expand smartphone user by converting feature phone users into smartphone users. If Android One is success, Android market share might significantly increase on medium term.
