Guys,
Google OTA release is a big menace where they check the logs of devices running on upgraded OS and if nothing critical is seen then it is rolled out to all users. I was tired of waiting from last 3 days hence i went ahead and updated my device with the google released factory image. This image is the same file which will be pushed to your device over OTA. As the image link is openly available on many websites i would suggest ppl to update it yourself instead of waiting for OTA. The complete steps are provided in the below link . It is tried and tested on my own device so you dont need to worry about anything and with updating the OTA build you would also get the future updates, you also dont need to worry about that. Its a win win situation , go ahead and do it

Apple is far better than google, atleast they provide proper dates for updates and fixes bugs in 1 day. We gave our hard earned money to Google, still they don't care for customers. We can protest google by giving 1 star to google apps like Gmail, Maps in play store. If we all give 1 star to apps, atleast they will recognize our pain

After 4 days of waiting for android 5.0..... i finally did it myself, I updated my Nexus 7 2013 with ota files. its really easy. Google really sucks, Most of Moto phones got update already. Never gonna buy nexus again. They had been android 5.0 for 6 months and still testing, idk why or they are just creating hype for 5.0?

I guess this might help to all u guys who are eager to update.. What if google didn gave us ota , doing it this way doesn seem to be that headache !

Google why dont you learn from apple to give updates. it has been 4 days and stil no update signal. Never gonna buy a nexus phone, i prefer APPLE

Come on google. This is not expected from you. Four days now and still no ota update for my nexus 5 in mumbai. Why should we purchase nexus devices in future.

The l version will soon arrive at every nexus device. Don't get frustrated and just be patient. Google rolls the version in stages at every continent so there is no problem with the servers. I think everyone can understand there no chance downloading the l at the same time. Always had nexus phones live in Greece always got them a week later. The other phones months later years later. Just be patient!!!!

Really disappointed, I will never buy Google products again. There is no update for my device after 5days. I planned to buy nexus 6 but i wont do that mistake and i wont let my friends to buy nexus device...Google sucks

guru, 16 Nov 2014No update n5 in punjab through ota!! I unrooted my phn thro... moreIt doesn't matter if your phone is rooted, you will still receive the update. The update will also remove your root. I'm also in punjab and haven't received the update.
