Anonymous, 01 Dec 2014With the nexus 6 having slim bezel with front facing stereo... moreThose phones had ridiculously week batteries, most had very poor quality speakers and some didn't have a 3.5mm jack, so HTC,s always been a failure

With the nexus 6 having slim bezel with front facing stereo speakers, I'd laugh my @$$ off if HTC continue to employ that big bezel. This company was the forefront in smartphone design back in the days and it's sad to see them continually shooting themselves in the foot. They know what needs to be done, they know what the users want, yet they dont have the balls to execute it. Year after year, they made promises that they'll cut down on phone offerings, boost the performance of their latest flagship....yet their end product was just a few marbles short of what the competitors have to offer.
My first 3 smartphones were the HTC diamond, diamond 2 and the HD2. Quite frankly, those HTC glory days are long gone.

AnonD-212255, 01 Dec 2014Removable batteries? No way! Spoils the unibody design ... moreRight, how stupid i am not wanting to wear a battery 3x thicker and heavier than the phone itself. I'm sick of people with no common sense who think phones are some kind of jewels. Not to mention the battery has nothing to do with design anyway

Removable batteries?
No way! Spoils the unibody design and makes it feel cheap.
Where are ppl going that they have no electricity? Who doesn't own a battery pack these days anyway?

The HTC M7 was a beauty. I think the bezels are comfortable. The M9 may not be the perfect phone and will be flawed but it will be better than any android flagship that will release next year. The 2013 M7 still beats current android flagships, including the M8.
HTC are risk takers. I respect them for always standing out, not fitting in.

HTC should delay the release by a couple of months so they can release the M9 with Snapdragon 810.

If this is true it's wonderful, but the hell HTC keeps increasing the size of their flag ship models, keep it at a constant stop going bigger and bigger, the prefect size was HTC one aka m7 increase the screen size in that and keep the body size same. If you want to make a bigger screen make it into aadifferent model, just galaxy note does. If this phone comes out any more bigger than m8 than I'm not replacing my m7 or my sister's m8..please ihope they don't go to 5.5 inch screen it's a freaking phablet now not a phone.

Whay HTC needs to do:
-Put removable and bigger batteries
-better camera
-Less wasted space (We can live without the HTC logo on the front panel)
Then HTC will have the best phones with no competition. But there is obviously a conspiracy (Or mass stupidity) and no one wants to make e good enough phone.
HTC listened to us about the sd slot and the crappy speakers they were using in earlier models, but that was it. They won't listen about anything else.

AnonD-203994, 01 Dec 2014When M7 was announced.everybody was impressed with its desi... moreDesign is ridiculous, just like iCrap's design, with huge wasted space (And yes, i don't include the speakers in the wasted space). Unfortunately common sense is a dirty word nowadays.

AnonD-203994, 01 Dec 2014When M7 was announced.everybody was impressed with its desi... moreHTC One M8 is waaaay more beautiful than M7. I would prefer get a HTC Butterfly than M7, but I'm in love with the design of the M8. It's a pitty you will have to be VERY careful, as it scratches easily, and using a case will take off its handsome design.
** I don't think these specs are truth. HTC using 3500mAh? I doubt it...

These early rumors doesn't mean anything. A lot of rumors said that HTC M8 would be with 16MP, and so actually is 4UP.
I have one HTC One M8 and it is fast as hell. If HTC put a 13+MP and records at 4K, I'll buy it. And HTC Sense is faster than TouchWiz, even having a lower setting processor (you can "overclock" it to its normal asian clock, so it will have the same as S5.
If you want numbers, go get another cellphone. If you wanna have the best experience, go get HTC (Despite LG G3 really surprised me, except on its design, which is impossible to be better than HTC).

AnonD-203994, 01 Dec 2014When M7 was announced.everybody was impressed with its desi... moreAlso a new trend where the mid range, entry level phones of the same brand carry design language of their respective flagships leading to the charm of the design fade away at a faster rate.

When M7 was announced.everybody was impressed with its design. And it was truly the best phone of 2013. But M8 just sucks and if they are gonna go for the same design then nobody gonna buy that crap unless there is something spectular in it
