It's not successor of Lumia1020 it's McLaren, successor of Lumia1020 will have different design. But this is good enough to put external Sd card on it.

No it won't! An imaging "flagship" without a Xenon-flash... Yeah right!

i'm really waiting for next lumia FLAGSHIP,
but this ..."1030 will supposedly feature a 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage and if initial rumors are to be believed, a quad-core Snapdragon chipset." ... sounds like a dead prototype to me,like a model with snap dragon 805 which never made it to the markets.
since microsoft has no problem going 64 bit, i doubt they would release another 32 bit enabled flagship whilst others are going 64.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2014I never really like the idea of screen buttons (back, home ... moreI agree. I like the idea that you can use more screen space w/ IE, etc, but I don't like those buttons going away... ever. That's the one reason I didn't jump on the HTC One M8. I want to click back at anytime. Maybe I have to try before complaining too much, I guess. If Lumia's doing it, I think it will become standard very soon.

This will be a good upgrade over my 1020. I hope it will come out. If not will stick to my 1020 forever and will buy a spare one(1020) and keep it in a safe place.

I'm so glad I bought the Lumia 1020. It is likely to be the last smartphone with big-imager, xenon flash camera.

Microsoft needs to make some small sized, more compact phones. not everyone wants a huge 5" phone.
