The front looks cool but the back spoils the cool looks and no Xenon flash? LED flash are okay but in low light photography of moving objects, LEDs are just useless even if there's optical image stablization. Take a look at Nokia N8, it was designed with deeper thoughts and it was a completely new design. Just look at the camera of Nokia N8 and you'll see how gorgerous it is. Microsoft isn't putting much thoughts on the design as you can see the design is unchanged since the Nokia N9 in all Lumias. Microsoft isn't going anywhere.

AnonD-133243, 11 Dec 2014very similar design to my good ole N8, gonna buy it asa availableYeah, top and bottom do remind of out N8. Too bad about no Xenon, though. They say they will add more LED gimmicks and options, but still without Xenon it's hard to take it as serious.
Btw to the people complaining about the camera hump - some of us have a fetish for camera humps on phones. To each his own. :-)

Loubielou, 11 Dec 2014The Camera Hump on this Smartphone really Spoils the Look o... moreIt is wise to note, that they do plan to update Lumia (Nokia-made and Microsoft-made) models from 'Windows Phone' 8.x to 'Windows' 10. I have yet to see how W10 works out. I hope all goes well for W10.

If at all, the Microsoft logo/name 'should' be an ensuring reminder for me that Microsoft should allot dedication to the phone with speedy updates and uptight support as I expect the phone to have.

By my very loose minimum requirements/qualifications of phones I seek, the camera hump and a Microsoft name branding wouldn't be a deterrence for me. However, I will still keep dreaming on for a PureView module Zeiss-certified camera ala Lumia 1020 or ala this Lumia prototype with ring flash (whether Xenon or LED; duncare as long as the flash surrounds the camera). We'll never know so...

Next! (Taran Killam as Jebidiah Atkinson accent)

Does everything required, no reason to upgrade yet when it works so seamlessly with a 64gb sd card...

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2014I never really like the idea of screen buttons (back, home ... moreSince you have the ability to hide on-screen navigation in applications, this is actually ideal because it makes the handset shorter. It provides more space for a larger screen in a smaller device. In a way you're actually losing screen space by putting hardware buttons in.

So that 5.0" screen could have been a 5.5" screen had it not been for those silly buttons.

Not only black & white... there you can set wallpaper as your background and tiles will be transparent so background wallpaper will look clear. And there is three options 1. Transparent tiles(for background look clear)
                                    2. Black transparent tiles(shadow type black colour)
