I am a professional service engineer working for a leading company in the U.S. The touch issues with lumia 535 is hardware related believe me...software update is not going to fix it.

A little surprise from MS for christmas. The world famous WP, the "most stable, flawless, fluid, and simply the best OS" finally will WORK as it should.
    Nice.
WP is a joke, and now MS finaly admits, that WP8 is a colossal fail. No more quality (flagship) model until 2015 Q3. MS now concentrate WP10, and put WP8 to the trash bin.

Why Lumia alway make short life of battery ? If it has long life of battery such as other smart phone it the best I think. You must think in this problem in order to make the best competition in smart phone right !

What were the MS testers doing, shortly before Lumia 535 was launched? Were they asleep?

In the absence of hardware keys, the smartphone depends on the touch screen for nearly all of its commands. Before a phone is launched, the testers should test the phone's response to vital features, if not ALL features, to ensure that the phone functions properly.

My Lumia 1320 had similar touch problems, until they released a fix for it. If I am not mistaken, the Lumia 635 had a problem with its dual SIM option.

Why cant these vital issues be sorted out BEFORE the phone is sold in the market?

That said, at least MS acknowledges a problem, unlike some other manufacturers.

                    My view though.

Microsoft delayed the launch of 535 in Egypt to 27th DEC as well, that all leads to they want to launch it after fixing the issue via the SW update
