jaja, 23 Dec 2014My Boyfriend has a Note 2 and I have an S4... Personally... moreThe ONLY reason why does the Note 2 run games smoother/better than S4 is that Note 2 has lower screen resolution, so the GPU performance isn't wasted on the resolution.

They have to create something "new" (most of the times it only means a little higher specs), and sell their products to keep/increase their profit. So they convince the people that they need it. Despite there is no real improvement.

How come a 2 year old note 2 will get the update while the brand new and more powerful note 3 neo which can leave note 2 and s4 in the dust????

I don't know what rock GSM arena has been hiding under but it was leaked by samsung themselves that note2 and s4 where getting 5.0 before the release of lollipop and there are you tube videos now of the s4 running with lollipop next to an s5 from sam mobile the list goes as far as the Samsung avant which will get it around 3rd q and s4 is will receive 5.0 sometime in January.

You're just brainwashed by the ma... moremost of the monitors don't have more than 1080p because the manufactures couldn't make affordable 2k,4k and 5k monitors back then....pretty soon we will move from 1080p to 4k because the technology is easily accessible now

Read any books by those who seek an overall more and not more out of less ? Hard math has show me that i would benefit from ~600ppi (~650 would be the stop point for me) density with my current habits. Though i do agree that 4k or 8k would be enough for a 30'-40' screen. Also you note 1080p is enough for big screens. They good, but ideal is the point and you're only dragging everyone down, like those who say HHO is dangerous as a fuel.

My Boyfriend has a Note 2 and I have an S4...
Personally, I prefer the Note2, why?
-Bigger Screen
-S Pen
-Doesn't drop frame rates
-Runs smoother
-You can multitask better
I was amazed at how games like PVZ2, Sims, and other graphic intensive games ran smoothly on my bf's note2 while I was always experiencing dropped frames and stutter on my S4...
But I do hope that Samsung gives both phones the 5.0 treatment... or else I'm jumping ship to Sony or the G3

Even most of the monitors doesn't have higher resolution than 1080p. So for a phone, 720p is enough.

in my humble opinion .. N7100 is the best android phablet of all times .. still using mine after 2 years .. & i will keep using it during 2015 until note 5 released

I got my Note II in September 2012 when it was first released, after owning Note I for a year ,I am still using it (Note II) I skipped both Note 3 and 4 and will wait for Note 5.whoever says Note II is a bad piece of a device must know nothing about this phone, it never failed me so far, not once and I don't need Lollipop to prove me that, rooting + customization + camera and sound tweaks together with 4.4.2 makes it compete with many high end newer phones.

Aramissss, 23 Dec 2014Note 2 is not garbage, my boss has s4 but i can not see dif... moreOk your opinion is as valid as mine, but i hated Note 2 display and really liked the S4 display, even if Pentile it was very sharp and impressive.
Maybe you also remember back in the days after Note 2 launch how very many people was disappointed with the display and decided to keep their Note 1? And N1 WAS better, even if it wasPentile the 800p made a noticeable difference. Cross hatch pattern was often very easy to see on N1 but all in all i had to agree that Note 2 display was a slight downgrade. You can find lots of those opinions if going far back in the Note 2 comments.

I would however hope that you be open minded enough to even for a second consider that you may have a problem and give reading glasses a try, you know, the type made of coke bottle bottoms?
And whats the thing with implying that i who used Note 2 for many months and hated it more every day is wrong? do you think i WANTED to pay $750 for a phone just to be disappointed? Im not that well off, no. Of course i wish my big investment was a good one but i cant deny it was not, it was a mistake, and a big one.
