Even 768, though noticeable better, looks bad on BB Z10 with only 4.2 inch display. But well, i cant argue with your poor eyes, just make me appreciate my own eyes more and realize how lucky i am.

The ONLY reason why the Note 2 has pixelated screen is that it has AMOLED screen that doesn't have regular RGB subpixels.

720p is enough for ALL smartphones (especially for LCD screens, because they have much better, RGB subpixels). No need more. Anything more is just a waste of CPU.

Ewerything else in my opinion is only gimnics.
But that is only mine opinion, so keep calm.

Aramissss, 23 Dec 2014Sorry, but Note 2 in hardware terms stands in the same line... moreWhat are you talking about? S4 was actually a good phone except for the region lock, and it has very different hardware than Note 2, much better SoC, display is insanely much better (not perfect though, still bad whites). You cant compare decent phones like S4 with utter garbage like Note 2.

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2014Awesome news regarding the Note II which was released two y... moreOMG... Note 2? I can safely say that Note 2 is the worst phone i had, 720p on a giant display, it was a constant suppering. I bought one at launch and liked it at first but soon had to admit i made a big mistake, it had the same PPI as my phone in 2009, plus Note 2 came at the end of a hardware era and was made with parts and specs that were struggling for one last desperate breath. I really felt cheated, Butterfly came out not too long after and the rumors of Yuga and Odin started around the same time, now couple that with the bad precision S-pen and lots of defective "features", the ones that did work wasnt even useful. I really thought multi window would be a game changer, and Note 2 was the first ever to have it, but after a month i disabled it and never turned it on again. Needless to say i bought a 1080p phone as fast as i could and THAT was a game changer, 1080p is still the best thing to happen to smartphones.

Sorry, but Note 2 in hardware terms stands in the same line as S4.
I am just afraid, that website meant Samsung Galaxy Note 3 NEO, not note 2...

In korea they use 2100MHz for 3G, 850/1800/2100 for LTE

I think it's wrong placing the Note 2 and S4 in the same category... in terms of the eligibility to receive the lollipop update! Note 2 was released way back in September 2012 with Android OS, v4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) on board, while the S4 was released in April 2013 with Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) on board! Both phones however were upgradable to v4.4.2 (KitKat). And the S4 is not even up to two years in the market yet... It is more logical to have it upgraded to the latest Android OS, given it's specs sheet!

So with this update S4 owners abroad must brace themselves as usual, a new round of reset region lock bricking peoples phones once again. Same goes for European and American Note 2 manufactured from July 2013 and up. Samsung need to learn one thing: If it aint broken dont fix it, the region lock was a big mistake.

I feel my experience with Samsung is that the updates are pretty much forgotten after 6 months and you must be extremely lucky enough to really see the updates after 1 year and by 2 years, not sure what would happen to your phone forget alone updates! With so many array of Samsung S Galaxy series and Note Series, now Alfa and Edge etc...it is next to impossible for Samsung to concentrate on Software Support for older devices any more! It is just way beyond their control at this point. Genuinely they may even forget most of the devices they manufacture if the keep rolling out one device every month!

AnonD-344540, 23 Dec 2014N750 is 3g only m i right?Yes and it doesnt support 850MHz HSPA, making it quite useless many places in the world. Samsung had a bad habit that time by including the more rare 1900 and omitting the important 850. Maybe 1900 was common in Korea but it isnt in the rest of Asia even though many or maybe most of the countries has given out 1900 licenses. For example in Philippines, the carriers have 3G frequencies in the 1900 band but it has been ignored in favor of more LTE base stations instead, since 1900 was meant for urban areas where the demand for more LTE takes precedence.

stop complaining! aren't you aware of the updates rolling out to Nexus devices? we reached 5.0.2... this means loads of bugs/bugfixes. I flashed 5.0 on my friends S5 and boy does it have issues! so glad Samsung takes still some time to figure out all the big issues and then roll-out. Aren't you all satisfied with KitKat? so wait for another 2 or 3 months and then you can have a fully working Android 5 experience. Merry Christmas
