In home os dsnt require high specs coz they are better optimized. In fact its only android which needs high specs to run. look at ios, windows and BB, they all run perfectly on even 512 MB. And also most of the ppl optioning for bb have work as their priority and not entertainment. BB users are normally in for productivity and not high specs in their phone. And of course, last but not the least, it will keep the prices down.

I still like cranberries over this! mid-range phones nowadays must have atleast 13mp snapper with a 5 to 8mp on the front a 5.5 inch display 1.7 Ghz quadcore speed processor. And also a bezel-less portion from top to bottom more like a full touch screen rather than a touch scene in other bloated design phones.

Problem with blackberry is that they not moving with others why not use snapdragon 810 64 bit and 1440p screen it will surely sell instead of making mid end why not high end they surely have their market even less but profitable just not making devices

It is almost the same specs with the Z10.
To think this will launch on 2015
Z10 was released Q1 of 2013.
I think blackberry will totally kill themselves.
I am no longer happy with my blackberry Z10.
Will shift to Sony next year
Blackberry is lack of innovation.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2014With this chipset blackberry it's old fashion,Its good for a midranger, keep in mind that this is more powerful than the quadcore 1.3GHz Snapdragon 400/410 chipsets that power every Android midranger these days. 4 goats can never do the job of 2 horses. I wish more Android midrangers would use this excellent chipset, i really hate those super weak Cortex A7 and A53 cores, pathetic.

I would be happy with 8mp but this isnt 8, its 99% sure only 6, same as BB Z10 it will have 16:9 sensor so to take normal photos with 4:3 the max resolution will be 6mp. Too bad, 16:9 sensors have so much wasted space under the lens and 16:9 photos are unsuitable for both printing and social networks.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2014For those looking on specs please note specs are exclusive ... moreTo a certain degree but lets be honest, BB10 doesnt perform THAT well, especially in the facebook app the lack of performance is a problem that people should know of before buying. The webbrowser performs excellent with dual core and 2GB RAM but that is pretty much the only thing that has a performance advantage and it isnt really faster than Safari.
Anyway, this has same specs as Z30, maybe it will have less internal storage but display, SoC and RAM are like the same. Shouldnt they release an upgraded high end full touch phone first before making the Z30 obsolete with this one?

For those looking on specs please note specs are exclusive issue for Andriod only, not for iphone and Blackberry. Higher the specs better phone is slogan for Andriod Manufacturers not Apple or Blackberry , since there hardware and software optimizes for each others.
