remove symbian os and use WinMo but dont remove utilities like switch data and transfer data from other nokia from the phone...directly. and then external memory can use for save, backup contact and messages...hope with WinMo be better but now, i think there's no WinMo features can optimize it.

Symbian Fans, 15 Aug 2009C'mon Nokia Release Symbian Open Source Smartphone with Ded... moreIsn't that what Symbian Foundation is about? Being a more user-friendly interface? You should really look this stuff up before posting.

UIQ was nothing more than a cloud-type interface. Why shouldn't it have picked up into something even greater is a question I don't think anyone can answer, but I doubt it's SE's fault. I also doubt Samsung would of done them any good if what you're suggesting happened.

Sony Ericsson is a nice company and their phones are very unique. So grudge-down and quit antagonizing SE with no basis other than being a troll.

                    S40 can't be symbian. It doesn't recognize .sis/.sisx files.

One more time guys, Nokia isn't gitting rid of Symbian. rofl. As much as I love Android, I ONCE AGAIN can't stand Android fanboys.

The sales profits for Microsoft have gone as expected this year, with a Q1 intake of $15 billion, a 9% increase from last year. Q2 however saw the loss of 6% (estimated at about a $4.5 billion loss...which really isn't much of a loss considering that their yearly revenue is estimated at 52 billion). I have yet to see Q3, and it might have another projected loss but, like I said above.

This decision is hardly maleficent to both parties and their users (besides the price, maybe). They'll be getting a very good office suite available on their business phones and no longer will they have to rely on that OpenSource Office software seeping out of i hate Microsoft forums.

Oh and Andy, you're right, S40 stands for Series 40, not Symbian 40 -.- Sorry for mistaking that, I've been away from Nokia a long time.

I think now Nokia will enter the global mobile market stronger than before
