No serious phone user or business person uses the iphone. Give it up already apple fans. Apps that make your pics looks silly, or pick a restaraunt by shaking it do not make a good phone. Bluetooth file transfer, MMS, Office client etc. make a good phone.

      iphones are for kids.

[deleted post]Correction mister. The iphone's OSX can do multitasking, but Apple deliberately did not apply It on all iphone apps for practical reasons. So do not say that the iphone OSX is incapable of imultitasking because it can.

Oh, NOKIA really knows how to make real phones .. when it comes to phones so there's no other than NOKIA .. NOKIA makes PHONES with multimedia extras .. not a multimedia device with a phone attached to it like all other manufacturers do. So please guys don't say that iPhone is better as a phone or Samsung cuz it has a 12MP cam .. NOKIA makes phones not cameras!!

This is definitely a great upgrade. I think that Nokia and Symbian are the best. The reason...well...look at the numbers.

Lol, they're in a mess. I feel sorry for those who already bought their N97 and other nokia symbian smartphones. In another article, it stated that the reason for this change is because symbian is too cumbersome on an OS and could not keep up with the efficiency of other OS like Apple's OSX, RIM, Android and Palm OS. Symbian does not have the flexibility that other OS have. Oh I'm so glad I have the iphone :)

Sad thing is, this revelation is bad for all devices using the symbian platform. I was really interested with SE Satio, but after reading articles about symbians incompetencies, I got turned off. I hope it's not too late for SE to switch the OS for the Satio. I wonder if Nokia even considered other phonemakers who uses symbian when they released this to the press. Because this press release would surely hurt Samsung and SE symbian devices. Nokia obviously don't care. Again, I'm oh so glad I have an iphone :)

I just hope this doesnt increase the cost of nokias devices. Nokia already has a good feature per price ratio with there E-Series. It would be a disappointment to see inflated cost due to microsofts liscenses.

Microsoft is No Good. Nokia should not lock itself with Nokia. Better to develop on their own.

It doesn't say anything about upgrade options for current Nokia Smartphone users. Also - it appears this feature may be available only on the E-series...
