Galaxy S6 enters production, features new TouchWiz

"Introducing new features with every generation..."
... which then get copied over into Android's core itself (e.g. power saving mode, private mode, do not disturb-mode, pinned apps etc...)
"...requires serious amounts of resources to run smoothly..."
Runs very smoothly on an S4 and S5. While the S5 is still a powerful beast the S4 is middle of-the-road in today's tech. So isn't this much parroted comment a bit exaggerated?
As for (im)Material Design? It seems to me that when Andy Rubin left the team, common sense went with him. Because let's be honest, A "light" themed Android on Amoled equipped (flagship) devices including Google's own Nexus 6? WTF? Who's stupid idea was that?
And then there's those ugly flat IOS-8-themed icons. Who's bright idea WAS THAT? While every iPhone user detest the FUgly new look... the Android mob copies it into their own. What a bunch of morons actually work at Google? DO these apes EVER read forums and review sites (especially the COMMENTS-section)?
It begs to question why we actually need these powerfull GPU's since texture-handling, beautiful soft-shadows and gorgeously detailed icons all went out the door. And since the big silent majority aren't the gameplaying types, we all, now in 2015, get bigger screened with over-the-top resolutions and hideous UI's infused devices which STILL can't run 2 full days on their batteries.
I reckon stupidity is infectious because this year everybody is acting stupid. 2015, the year common sense lost!

I myself am not a hater. I appreciate every brand for what they offer. I have owned more Nokia than any other brand so I am also not a Samsung fan boy. It's illogical to make a statement saying you know more about Android than I know about myself. I don't think core Android programmers or the inventor of Android make statements like that. My point about the whole thing is that given the feature-laden specifications of the S5 wouldn't one expect the firmware to be bigger than the less featured M8 firmware? Take care.

And yes I have tried htc one m8, lg g2, galaxy s4, s5 and note 4. Didn't get a chance to use sony though. Out of these touchwhiz may be the most laggy one but at the same time it is the most feature rich too.

To CIPRIAN RUSE:
The S5 firmware is larger than HTC M8 because the S5 clearly has more features than the M8. Do you want me to spell all of them out for you? From the heart rate sensor to the finder print sensor to the smart alerts to the smart stay to the air gestures to the wake gestures to the smart pause, to the smart scroll to smart answering of calls by speech to waving hand to answer a call and many more...not to mention the S5 camera features are the best of all the flagships. I read a rating yesterday where the S5 is ranked number one for it's massive camera features out of all the current crop of flagships. The only thing M7 and M8 has going for them is the materials and dual speakers but at the end of the day features count for me. I have used various HTCs (including M7 and M8) and the Sense UI doesn't appeal to me. When I used a M8 recently I was shocked to see the very small amount of gesture features. Give me features over looks any day. That has been my motto from day one. Lastly, might I add that the S5 has the best battery life I have ever seen for Android and when the battery has lived it's lifespan, I will replace it with a new battery...can you do that with the M8? Enjoy your low res camera photos, non-removable battery and less features on your HTC while I will enjoy my super smartphone my Galaxy S5 Octa-Core. The S5 UI may be bigger but expectedly and deservingly so.

C'mon Samsung. Or should I say, Samesung?
anyways, touchwhiz is horrible, and I get random reboots with my Galaxy S4, which is unacceptable considering it was a flagship 2 years ago.

The UI and pull down menu is good design. I dislike the green colour when an icon is enabled on pulldown menu.
I’ve heard they will bring a separate application so u can use different fonts, colour etc. if that’s true than it’s a great step forward.
When that app. can make changes to section that matters (specifically pulldown menu!) than I’m willing to check their new phones later on this year.
