Samsung and Mediatek beat them to market with the new A53 and A57 cores and don't have major overheating / throttling issues that plague the already available Snapdragon 610 and 615, and overeating / throttling / memory controller issues that the hugely delayed 808 / 810 have. Qualcomm will lose almost the entirety of the low end market this year, and gigantic chunks of the mid and high range too.

So they won't learn after all. No 8XX no sale. Its the intel inside for smartphones. They can delay S6 or totally ditch it and come out with a worthy S7 next year. We don't need overhyped underwhelming cellphones every year now that they are reasonably powerful that they can survive just by software upgrades (especially Lollipop) for at least two years.

I own an exynos note 3 and I'm from India it's been more than a year since I got this and yet there is still no proper 4g coverage anywhere, so forget 4g
and 4k recording, do you have any idea how much storage 4k recording takes , it's not like you're a professional videographer who needs to shoot everything in 4k, 1080p in 60fps is amazing with this phone
PS I own a 4k TV and know how good 4k is but I really don't miss 4k recording
I also own mi3 which has s800, you were talking about over heating and battery drain , have ever used it or seen any comparison videos ? s800 heats up equally and has more battery drain at times, this is after comparison with both mi3 and s800 note 3
so simply stop bashing exynos without proper knowledge

Let me tell you why I, or for that matter, most Indians just plainly hate Exynos.
Always we were cheated by inferior specs.
Indian Note II didn't have 4G LTE,
Indian Galaxy S4 didn't have 4G,
and Indian Note 3 didn't get 4G plus it also didn't get 4K recording!
And guess what, there was no clear demarkation so most of us purchased thinking that its the best stuff.
We were seeing high end specs, we were paying the costliest price for a mobile in our market, as high as $900 (equivalent) sometimes.... (Rs. 50,000+)
A mid-high range laptop wouldn't cost so much as these mobiles did, until their demand faded.
Then, when demand fades, the prices drop so mercilessly that you never ever got a good deal in second hand market for your old mobile set.
We never got the best deal. But we did pay our best money, even more than American versions sometimes.
All due to this always inferior Exynos...
So, it might have improved by leaps and bounds, but we plain HATE it... and now you understand why....
As far as Redmi 1S is concerned, it has lost its overheating problem after the firmware update V45... Although, now its running a bit slow, so I'd rather have overheating back for the performance...
For Rs. 6000 its a steal though, given the Audio quality and Camera quality. And android apps & games.

And you should seriously try to learn to read between the lines of this news:
Samsung bashing indirectly and onpurpose the competition product without substant facts, only to sell more of its exynos product
And leaving the SD 810 door open just in case their stunt does not suceed....
I couldnt care less about someone attacking the other on a personal below-the-belt level of confrontation, instead of trying to point out his real advantages....that is by definition
Hypocrisy and deceit...
And Samsung is full of it....
Hope they perrish and die off slowly

AnonD-121494, 15 Jan 2015Why do you people never do research before spewing nonsense... moreno research needed, if a chipset is unable to play a 4k video or record a 4k video or unable to support 4g then its not powerful enough for default, there might be problems or faults with the new snapdragon 810 but it will soon be fixed, every problem has a solution, this exynos remains an experiment just like a hobby for samsung, the same way the project ara is by google these are hobbies, samsung knows this they want to keep alive their hobbies and they have decided to cheat indians with it, in 2014 indians gave nice response for samsung selling exynos included phones in india
