It will sell a million because of the marketing name "note".

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2015I don't think it will sell that much. It's just too expensivePersonally I don't have a problem with the price. My concern is the lack of local support.

I certainly would not buy a phone where I potentially have to send it off to another country and potentially be without it for weeks at time in the event of problems.

My guess is >99% will be sold in China. Little chance of this ever selling in Europe after the mandatory 20% VAT is tacked on to the already high price. Xiaomi hit a home run with the RedMi series but I can't see many folks in Europe paying 550 Euro to own one of these - especially with no local repair/support centers. Great phone though - if you live in Shenzhen.

Best of luck Xiaomi ! You can sell your target because nowadays people understand which parts are used , what kinds of quality exist and why other brands are expensive. For example , we understood apple uses inferior and cheap parts but expensive in the market because of its brand and high profit margin.

It's actually possible, if everyone in this world is smart enough to choose between value for money vs value for brand. The 64GB variant price tag itself is a solid offering, I don't see why it can't happen.

Maybe 150 million only enough for one year. Maybe 800 million next year.

It hardly satisfies the demand in China alone.

                              Screw you. Xiaomi
