Shubham-Yadav, 21 Jan 2015The g flex is pre release, but the snapdragon 810 should be... moreIf 7420 is able to take down the sd815,i will be glad. But it sure will turn out to be a daunting task for samsung.
Pick a sd800 device any day and compare it to galaxy s5 and the difference is apparant. While the s5 is full of stutters, the sd800 glides through the ui.I do admit to higher numbers that exynos posts in benchmarks but thats less important when samsung is caught tampering with benchmarks time and again. Some may attribute the jerkyness of s5 to touchwiz, but i havent noticed the same on note 4 sd.
There is a reason why sd is Silicon of choice for its flagships.Besides exynos is very profitable for them as its their home baked chip.

Heh. Even the 616 seems like massive overkill.

Hopefuly the S820 has a decacore design, or at least a dual octa core architecture.

still in SOC's performance, exynos is a killer in front of snapdragon... just compare note 4's exynos 5433 with SD 805 version n u will know the answer... the gpu, adreno family was a killer until mali T760 destroyed it here also...

I agree on IPC improvement someone mentioned. Maybe tomorrow were going to have hexadeca (16) core CPU. The idea behind big.LITTLE architecture is awesome and in my opinion is a bit underrated. Personally I'm awaiting 14nm technology on wider variety of CPU's. As far as mobile goes I think the ideal combo would be big.LITTLE architecture with dual core low frequency cluster (about 1 GHz) and dual core high frequency cluster (around 2,5 GHz). Its not like people going to use 4 VERY DEMANDING apps in the background anyway. There's usually one (well maybe 2) that's being used and eats all the juice up.

I own an iPad air 2 and the performance of the a8x is awesome. But blaming exynos for poor tab S performance is like blaming Qualcomm for poor performance of snapdragon 400.
The GPU on tab S is a disappointment. It's basically equivalent to the one on snapdragon 600 which is less than ideal for driving such high resolution.

Disappointed, i was hoping for a beastly quadcore with high IPC like Apple. The 820 may be good though, 8 good cores. Havent had a chance to test any S810 devices yet of course but for big.little i dont see much hope, Galaxy Tab S has the weakest real life performance imaginable, obviously the weaker cores are always trying to do the job without waking the faster cores, we have to go back to Tegra 4 to find this low real life performance and bad usert experience, if S810 is anything like Exynos big.little its an epic fail.
By the way, i keep on reading about people with Galaxy Tab S octacore who are hoping software updates will adress the performance issues but im sorry to say that Linus Torvalds is probably right, big.little is a defective architecture.

Shubham-Yadav, 21 Jan 2015The SD 810 already scores lower than the exynos 5433 in not... moreIt doesnt slay the snapdragon. It just defeats it.I call what the a8 does "slaying".Further,sd was still using the older(read ancient) krait architecture while exynos had taken heavy strides with time. Now that sd is back,i would like to see how exynos try to stay abreast.Exynos was always am "alternative" to the mighty snapdragon and will be forever. Also exynos is devoid of any love from xda so its hardly of any importance to developers.
