The Rumour turned Real, its bad omen fr all flagships to bypass it,ad look fr an alternative. What is going to happen with Xperia 4,Htc M9,S6 etc.Rather wait than join the race fr news, have patience ad use what you are using. At least a respite from Flagships.

Really speaking in India we are using Exynos for such a long time , I didnt feel any difference when I used SD based device in US. I felt SD was heating a bit more when I use gps while driving. My first samsung galaxy S still runs and galaxy s2 runs perfectly all more than 4 yrs old . So as a normal user it doesnt matter what chip it contains, my investmet has been a success

Won't be long before Mediatek chips are being used in flagships instead of Qualcomm. They were obviously aware of heating problems, but unable to produce a chip that could offer increased performance without this issue..

Goofie1983, 29 Jan 2015One thing to worry about with the S6 is the exynos and it's... moreYou do realize CES has already passed, so don't stress over it ...LOl

I am using and used Exynos Tablet, Phablet and Mobile phones from Samsung and it is no different from SD in terms of normal performance. For Gaming or special purpose software may show the performance difference but for a normal user who uses the phone for browsing, media consumption, camera, apps....Exynos is good enough. I use Nexus 6 which is in no way better or worse than my Samsung Note Pro.

AnonD-626, 29 Jan 2015I hope they fix the issue with this chip. Good thing I just... moreThey will definitely "fix" it: They'll pretend everything's fine and that'll be the "fix". And people will pretend the same. Just like fan-boys always do and pretend their phones are perfect.

I hope they fix the issue with this chip. Good thing I just got this sony z2 in Oct so I can hold out till the snapdragon 820 chip in 2017. Hope all bugs and architecture upgrades and 14nm is out by then. I want qualcomm to do well this year to put pressure on the competition. It's gives consumers choice.

AnonD-26363, 29 Jan 2015Well that's it no S6 for me then had two Exynos Samsung pho... moreThe only reason that exynos development was subpar was because everybody was buying these damn Qualcomm chips (low end stuff if you ask me).

Galaxy S1 and S2 were using exynos and nothing else and they had the best development. Also best sound, best performance. The Qualcomm parenthesis is now ended, I'm finally hopeful for Samsung (differentiated product, seem to take cues from consumers, etc).

AnonD-126854, 29 Jan 2015Well usually the tech media ALWAYS rely on their Guru iAnan... moreVery sensible observation! This is not children play areas where people don't ditch one over the other due to family rivalry!

The only reason why samsung is doimd this hoax about qualcom is because they want to use their own chip in their phones for the reasone that they are facing profit losses.so they dnt want to invest on 3rd party chips and loose even more if they dont sell as much ass to prevent more losses form
expenses.nothing is wrong with the 810 soc..it benefits their pocket...it also a marketing strategy saying that its the 810 soc is oberheating so that people would buy their eynox instead of qualcom...in other terms other companies phones but samsung..

We can know for sure if problems exist only after consumer devices are released and tested..

Well usually the tech media ALWAYS rely on their Guru iAnand. Now Anandtech confirmed the overheating issue, but no one tech media mention it.
                                      Now they doubt it. LOL
It sounds more bashing if they say that Samsung is ditching Qualcomm for some other "bad" reason.
Well Samsung asked Qualcomm to fix the issue, and they said that they will fix it. So later Samsung could use them.
But there is another story. LG(another great Korean company) made already phone with 810, and made own fix on that to minimise the issue.
LG said that will sue Qualcomm if they make special fix for Samsung. That's why Samsung gave up.
Why should your readers learn the right news from me? But you - just bashing Samsung?
