Micromax, the great Indian re-brander came in top due to multiple factors.
1. Overall branded phones like Samsung , Sony , Nokia & HTC sales are decreasing due to the invent of Chineese manufactures like Xiaomi , Huawei , Lenovo.
2. Value for money is also a fact, but the VFM for common people is Micromax offers octa core at 200 $ while Samsung offers only quad core. but only who get deep into specs know how crappy the octa core is.
So overall branded phone sales decreased, due to Chineese influx while Micromax remained stable.

Too bad for Samsung..focus only on S-Series and Note Line.Flooding the market with Crappy phones won't help..I doubt if S6 is going to be a game changer.

Not surprising. Being that lots of people in India are always complaining about pricey devices, it seems perfectly logical that a low budget company like Micromax would be able to easily sell its low quality products there.
I wouldn't dare buy one as all of Micromax's devices are pretty terrible.

Wow...Seriously good news. No doubt Samsung phones looks, feels better and even Micromax users wish to have one of samsung mobiles. But AT WHAT COST !!! They are far over priced and completely ignored mid range mobile users......If Micromax find few solutions for their drying batteries, HD screens and over all build quality..Samsung can RIP for ever....at least in India...

I think Sammsung will be back pricing is there's downfall if they can address that then I can't see why not they need to cut the cost of the A series phones. Because they are of good quality. But for price.

Without going too far..please read the users comments on GSMArena...for any micromax product....buyers remorse all over...everywhere...!!
Things are all hunky dory for the first 15 days...& then the magical show begins!
As somebody rightly said...just for cheapskates!...College students on a limited budget...auto drivers,cabbies...building security guards..& the list is endless.
Had 2 of them...Turbo & canvas 2...never ever wil touch it again,not even with a bargepole.

To be frank, i can only see lot of samsung mobiles compared to Micromax either in my Ofc or during travel... BTW am using HTC. A micromax or LAVA or Karbonn phone may look good initially but you will be disappointed in a short period bcoz of many issues..
