Ed, 09 Sep 2009I think you guys are being more than a bit disingenuous whe... morePalm decided to delay the GSM version of Pre.
How is it a GSM Arena's fault that they haven't tested this inexistent unreleased model?

I think you guys are being more than a bit disingenuous when you say 'Let's face it, Palm and their WebOS-driven Pre never really took off on our side of the Big Pond...'
Firstly, the device has not yet been released here so to say it 'never really took off' is totally wide of the mark. The device is planned for pre Christmas release by O2, or at least that's what they said yesterday when I spoke to them. My personal bet is that they'll delay until after Christmas to maximise sales of Iphone.
Secondly and most unforgivably, websites like yours have never really given them a chance. Palm have made some wonderful phones and a lot of people use them, but your site has never done a full review of one single model - if you don't belive me look at your own listings. To belittle the Pre and play down a genuinely innovative manufacturer is beneath you GSM Arena.

Great. Palm is simply putting aside every other market by doing things this way. While they refuse to put a GSM variant on the market quickly, WebOS loses its momentum, letting other OSes rise and get the spotlights. And now this Pixi, without WiFi. Good luck to you, Palm.

not a good looking device but we all know the awesomeness of its OS... yet still wonder if palm can keep up with the android coming thick and fast, let alone new nokia device n900 (despite aimed at a different segment though)...

"...there's no word on it European availability..."
Funny that, given it's a CDMA-based handset and, therefore, won't work here(!)

Palm, Palm, Palm, oh Palm. Why can´t we just have a Treo-esque form factor with GSM, WebOS, WiFi, a decent CPU and an SD slot? You´ll make millions, I promise. The Pre failed to launch and yet I consider WebOS to be an Android and iBone killer. It has yet to be packaged correctly. Almost there guys and yes, I WILL wait for you!

Another phone for the American market. Specs are quite simples, never seen the WebOS in action, so can´t really tell if this phone will be a seller. Only the price can make this a winner or not.
