Motorola is working on Android Lollipop update for the first generation Moto X, will take some time.

Take time but dont release buggy update or else seed directly to 5.1 if possible but dont ever release buggy or unstable update in hurry and do optimize the hardware and software first and also bring touchless control from any hot word instead of ok google now(as moto x 2014)and much more

Kind of makes sense but they didn't have issues before with software and updates. Why Now? Did Lenovo take over Motorola already?

Lollipop has made my nexus 7 almost unusable. The word sluggish doesn't do it justice
