14 September, 2009

Nokia_yeah, 16 Sep 2009The review is all about devices. In fact, Nokia does not se... moreI really don't understand why everyone keep insisting that BB eat nokia market share in Indonesia (or any part of the world).

If you wanna know the real success of BB, ask the cellular operator how many BB user registered at them. Then you will know that BB is not a great success after all. It just a bubble. The real success is the BB-wanabee. It's the cheap device around US$80-US$120 that can do facebook, BB push mail. The real BB brand can't even compete with single E71 sales in Indonesia. All the BB model that sold in indonesia add up still lose to the sales of E71 in Indonesia.

And it doesn't have anything to do with opening a factory in Indonesia. Nokia already did great with their strategy, and opening a factory in some country is a different beast. Especially in Indonesia. I know it because I'm born in a family of businessman/businesswoman who own a factory. A sandal factory, clothes factory up to small electronic devices. And it's not easy to run factory in this country. The worker here were just too easy to be persuade to run a demonstration by someone outside. We all close our factory here and move to vietnam, china, thailand.

The review is all about devices. In fact, Nokia does not sell only devices, Nokia also sell services and solutions. Please look forward to Nokia solutions and services to be offered in this cool gadget.
BTW, BB is hot in Indonesia not because of BB itself, but thanks to Facebook. BB has been eating Nokia's share in this lucrative market.
In my opinion, Nokia can gain its lost shares by manufacturing the devices here in Indonesia (as it has been planned). GOOD LUCK

        Wahahaha.......I read these comments,

I saw many problems with your grammatical constructions including the nokia ad, hahahha......see words in the pic of that E72.
Then, agree with the comment that many indonesians will buy and then change their mobile phones every year or even every several months....!!! That's stupid, man! out of mind! Right, some guys always bought new phones to get title "I'm up to date, and I've enough money to buy these devices so I'm rich enough." Yeah......"kids" & "aunties" in malls bought blackberry just for showing "I've money", Huh...just ask them: "do you understand to use those blackberrys?" "No", they even used them for call, sms, open facebook, and chat. Do you really really need those smartphone functions? Or, IF "IF" you use another ordinary phone; your activities, works, and businesses could still be satisfied???! Ask your self! OR, do you just wanna SHOW OF?
Hahahaha........... "always new phones!"...........just wasting your money.

How couldn't I know these things, if I live in jakarta....and every single guy using them

Well now that this thing is on the streets perhaps we can see a real detailed review? GSMArena? Anyone? Surely there is no NDA now that the phone is on sale (even in Indonesia only)

Those of you who consider Nokia devices to be outdated, boring... Nokia is beloved in most Asian countries. People are diehard Nokia users because it's interface is easy, and it simply works. I have sed SE, Moto, Nokia, Samsung, and I have to say, Nokia phone have the best signal, voice quality, and stability. So they are behind with touchscreen, qwerty, blah blah blah.... who cares. Their phones work and are built to last. No compliants from me. I am getting the E72 when it is available.

This Cell Phone should be released at least 8 months ago,.. The UI is the same "old" one used in previus Nokia's cell phones top line models. If Nokia loose the Battle betew IPhone, Window Mobile and Android OS, then,... we will have to ask a quiestion... is this "real" a new phone??

Why Indonesia, because Indonesian are addicted to the latest phone tech, and for most of Indonesian having the latest phone tech is A MUST and a lifestyle.. so, they're willing to sacrifice a lot of money for the latest and exclusive one, and nokia just catch it as an opportunity.. for example the first unit E90 communicator was sold in Indonesia for IDR 45 million equals to US$ 4.455, and Nokia 9500 was released in Indonesia also, and the unit launched has a price tag reached IDR 12 million equals to US$ 1.180,well that a thing that Nokia call "wet and lucrative country"... So just wait for the surprising price tag that first unit of E72 will reached..

xixi, 15 Sep 2009It's because Nokia is losing battle against BlackBerry in e... moreHi,

Maybe you didn't got what I said about number.
There were no illegal BB in Indonesia.
According to free market rule (in which Indonesia were part of it / WTO).
The government can't forbid any BB source coming to indonesia. This called FREE MARKET.

The only one that were in Indonesia were Black Market (BM) and from direct reseller.

I got info from someone at proXL, said that all the model of BB (BM+direct reseller) + iphone... in INDONESIA... still lose to a single model of Nokia E71 in Indonesia.

So, NO! nokia is not loosing. BB only good on newspaper in indonesia and usa. other than that, nothing

And FYI, up to now BB only have a 28.5 BB user (according to wikipedia, see my bellow post).

                          Now,...
why BB will lose in World and Indonesia.
                          1. the BBM only exclusively for BB only. Nokia were forbid by RIM, therefore nokia decide to do their own version of BBM.
                          2. Nokia have sold 1 billion phone. Whereas RIM have not even reach 50 million.
                          3. RIM PIN were outdated. It's dated back when RIM still selling pager. A two way pager hexadecimal number. It doesn't have the cool factor of the nokia id.
                          4. In the low end RIM have too many rim-wannabe... the US$80 - US$120 device. This will surely kill the real BB.
                          5. Nokia have a great range of phone from S40 to S60 to Maemo to be implemented with Nokia Ovi/Messaging service that will cover from a 'dumb' user/phone to 'smart' user/phone.

It's because Nokia is losing battle against BlackBerry in expensive phone although most BlackBerry bought in Indonesia is the illegal one.
