As a Windows Insider for Windows 10 Technical Beta, I suspect (and other technical articles online seem to suggest) that Windows 10 will require 1 GB RAM if you want to run "all features", otherwise your features will be limited with only 512 MB RAM. One of those features might be Cortana.....a very useful feature on a cell phone. So you probably should seriously consider spending the extra money for 1 GB RAM for a Windows cell phone.

I am the owner of a Lumia 635 on T-Mobile (USA). I would welcome these upgrades, especially since I has read that 1 GB RAM will be more suitable for Windows 10 O/S. If it is made available for a reasonable price, I would consider upgrading.
Having said this, I would much prefer that T-Mobile would make the Lumia 830 available for a higher, but still reasonable price. The superior camera, along with other features would make this a much more desirable alternative.

By making WP with 512 MB, MS once again showed that they are experimenting at the expense of consumer's money. Since WP 7.0, which is very bad, MS continue to deliver bad products, and this is a cost to the users. We have to stop this by not buying crappy WP, until MS can produce WP that is comparable to iOS or Android.

That's must be a joke from MS, 1GB RAM but 2MP camera! It is funny how the old Nokia(with Windows phone) and now the MS playing with the Windows phone, most of them are low-end budget phones and they just swapping different hardware around these phones, and give them a different # as name. I wish they stop doing this silly thing! Not necessary everyone use video calling, but I think having the FFC should a standard for all basic smartphones( after all, it's a smartphone).

I have no complaints on WP because its very smooth. In real I don't need front cam because no one is using their phone for video calls in my contact list. But yeah in 1 or 2 yrs whole thing will change.

I think what they should done with the Lumia 635 is the to add the FFC( after all the Lumia is the upgrade of the Lumia 520/521). Missing the FFC on the Lumia 635 Is biggest disappointment than RAM.
